Can I agree too?! Dark City was a fantastic movie, incredibly underrated. Rufus Sewell was in it, I think, and Keifer Sutherland. Also the guy from the Rocky Horror show, what was his name again? Really quite chilling, it was. 'The Gentlemen' from Buffy's 'Hush' episode were quite reminicent of the evil guys in Dark City, I think they were called 'the Strangers'.

Totally agree! One of my all-time faves - excellent.
Most overlooked scifi Film?
Which film do you think has all the quality of a classic, but somehow slipped between the cracks?
Personally I think CUBE is a minor classic, and I watched Enemy Mine the other day, and was suprised just how 'big' it was, and NOONES heard of it, so what else am i missing out on?

I liked Dark City, but I think it was severely flawed. I thought the movie was divided about what it was: the first and main part of the movie was an effective thriller, however I found the eventual reason for what was going on very interesting, and I would rather that time had been spent exploring the concept rather than spending so long keeping the audience in suspense.

I'd agree - undervalued. Peolpe rave about Bladerunner (which I do love), but you hardly hear about Total Recall, like its some shallow action flick. I think most people just dont understand it, and watch it for Arnie and Sharon Stone. I had to watch it about three or four times before I completely understood it.

Total Recall.
Maybe not so much over-looked as under-valued?
