Regarding classics I hate..... well none really. I can't remember saying I ever hated a film I watched (anyone who knows different please feel free to correct me!)

However, about all this film jargon that I don't understand... I just enjoy going to the cinema, I don't analyse everything. I didn't spot the twist at the end of Sixth Sense. It means the film was (for me) more entertaining - it doesn't mean I'm dumb!!

Film studies people - I take my hat off to you guys, because I know how hard it is to take your professional hat off when socialising! I can't imagine going to the cinema and judging all these aspects of the film rather than being able to sit back and be entertained!

The only film I've ever walked out on was Being John Malkovich, which is pretty unusual for me as like Desire, I can pretty much watch anything and find something enjoyable in it for me. On this occasion however I just couldn't get into it, so I left and watched American Psycho instead

i know it is hard, sometimes tho iu can just switch it off and enjo the films but as my media studies teacher in college says ' taking media is likely to make not enjoy films as much as you do nothing but analysis them' im afraid id have to agree, its hard now not to anaylis stuff i watch

When I was studying, I used to have to watch any film twice.

The first time I watch it I am interested in plot, character, acting etc etc.

It is only on subsequent viewings that I start to notice more technical aspects.

In any case, I find thinking about movies entertaining so wouldn't necessarily agree with the idea that you have to be able to sit back to enjoy.
