Disney

Do you think Disney movies are still as good as they used to be? SHould Disney quit wiht the animated movies while their still ahead and focus on the CGI movies like Toy Story. Did you ever like Disney? OR are you still in love wiht their movies?

Personally i think the last great disney movie was Mulan. tarzan was just not good...Oh i forgot the emperor's new groove. I loved that. It was different to the old disney movies, cinderella, Beuaty and the beast, but was very stylish and funny. They used the idfferent style of narration and jumped around it was kind of like the Farscape episode "snatch n sniff", where the scenes don't follow form each other, and weird stuff happens to the camera...or at leats in the beginning it was.

I am a major disney lover. There are a few that i don't like but mainly i love disney. Theres one thing i ahte though..and thats their '2' movies...Pocahontus, The little mermaid and others have been rubbished by their second movies....(whats with Pocahontus not getting together with John Smith??? Believe me if you liked the first movie do NOT wathc the second one.) I think Disney should concentrate on new ideas not making sequels for the disney classics...

I love Disney movies , I think I have them all "I am the Disney Queen"

To me the best one will always be "The Jungle Book" but "The Lion King" came very close

I agree with Rae, sequels are SOOO bad, especially Pocahontis II: A New World. I mean, John Smith moved from decent charmer to protentious (swear word).

Emperor's New Grove is the bible. With video in hand I have converted fourteen people to Disney using that movie, now they can't get enough. Remember FOURTEEN!

Yes Disney's had some hits and misses, but remember after the Lion King came Pocahontas (which some hated) and then Hunch Back of Notra Dame, which even I hated. Had Disney quit in that rough patch we would have missed;
1)Hercules (Demona's faviote)
2)Emperor's New Grove
3)Mulan
4)Tarzan.

They just need the right mix of comedy, good voices and great art-work. Here's hoping they'll do a movie set in Egypt, but not a bible story

Therefore how can I possibly accept the movie.

I love Disney too. My mum is a major fan and has just about all of the films on video... she says they're for her grandchildren, but i know her better

I adore Cinderella, Snow White, The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast... the Lion King just blew me away.. whereas i love the magic of Cinderella and Snow White.. in fact, just before i got married, i took my three bridesmaids to the cinema to see "Cinderella" at the Odeon in Newcastle and it was wonderful.

I'm hoping to start my DVD collection soon... if they release "Cinderella" on DVD, that'll be top of my list

My favourites are:

1. Cinderella
2. Lion King
3. Beauty and the Beast
4. Tarzan
5. Snow White
6. Aladdin

Nope of Victor Hugo and then made into a kids film by Disney

I love all the Disney films , can't help it and my kids do to, Adam my 4 year old is off to Disneyland paris with my parents in June and is soooooo excited (I'm thinking of sneaking into the luggage)

I have yet to be beaten at disney trivial persuit

My dad is useless at it and ahs to play the under 14 questions where as my little siter palys the adult questions (shes nine)...tis a great game and the board is so pretty

i love the Little Mermaid, it was the first film i ever went to see at the pictures...at around 2-ish i still remember being terrifed of the HUGE Ursula

I've got to say i love Disney films. Lion King, Jungle Book and Beauty & Yvonne(oops I mean The Beast

)are my faves although I think the newer films aren't that good and the sequels are *always* pants

Shame that cos they could probably make a lot of money if they invested more time in the sequels

I'm not a huge Disney fan. I used to like them when I was a kid, and I do still have kind of a soft-spot for some of the older ones. But for ages I've just not been bothered about them at all. Although last year one of my flatmates got me to watch Aladdin, and I did really enjoy that. I'd like to see some of the others, but unless someone sits me down and puts them on, I won't ever get round to it.

But Toy Story rocked, and Toy Story 2 is one sequel that certainly didn't suck!

I love Disney. I've got most of the videos (will start on DVDs eventually), spent hours singing along to the B&B soundtrack with Rally and Inc, much to T's disapproval

I also pulled the Lion King monkey (Raffiki, I think) when I was at EuroDisney

He was a v good snogger, but the kiddies didn't appreciate their cartoon character fondling some blonde

Rally We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

As Yvonne's post may have indicated... Yup, I'm a complete sucker for Disney movies (note I said movies - not the TV product!)

It all started when I was doing some promotional work for the video release of "Little Mermaid" and had to decide whether I was going to resist or give in... I chose to give in and can now sing the whole soundtrack... which I'm not proud of but it's true!

I pretty much love them all... "Beauty and the Beast" especially... not so keen on "Hunchback" or "Poccahontas"... thought "Tarzan" was good (if only you could take out the Phil Collins soundtrack)... love "Hercules" to bits... ditto "Emperors New Groove" (read an interesting article about how that film was supposed to be more like Lion King but got canned a long way into production)

So when the next Disney feature is released, I for one will be up for a cinema meet

Oh I love Disney movies.

When I was a little kid my Nanna used to take me to the pictures whenever a new one came out...oh those were the days!

Then when they started to come out on video she always bought them for us - mainly so she could watch them!

My favourites are The Lion King, Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, Mulan and of course both the Toy Stories! But I enjoy all of them - except the hunchback - i have never been able to bring myself to watch a cartoon based on a suicidal character!

I have a BA in Disney!!!!!

Ok. So the whole BA isn't in Disney, but i wrote my dissertation on Disney, Specifically Snow White, The Little Mermaid and Mulan so i'm pretty well qualified

I love Disney but I have to say there have been a lot of let downs.
My faves are Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Snow White, Cinderella and the great Herc!
