The all time classic novel THE HOBBIT. Think what that would be like. It makes sense to get started on this film now so it could be released after The Return Of The King
Please, make it a movie!!!!
Okay, what should be a movie, what has it been a crime to ignore as a movie. With the release of Spiderman and Scooby Doo, which I was shocked to hear, would be made a movie, what else? Can be books, comics, Tv series, cartoons anything, even lolly pops and create a quick story, just to keep me amused.
Personally -
1) The Thunderbolts (a comic), read it ages ago, would seem quick good to make into a film, following the whole villians disguised as goodies, who turn good, but get caught story
2) Daughter of the Empire (book) part I of the Empire trilogy, fav book ever, love it loads, must be made, STICKING ENTIRELY TO THE STORY.
3) Sailor Moon, (cartoon), it would be so funny. Plus, women running round in tiny skirts, always a good thing.

I think King Kong may be next for Peter Jackson (wants to get back to doing horror stuff), but he has expressed an interest in doing The Hobbit. (which I have no problems with).
Peter Jackson was rumoured to be remaking King Kong years ago. And then he ended up doing Lord of the Rings instead. So, six years on I don't know if King Kong is still gonna be in the pipeline. But I do know that whatever he does it's gonna rock!!
Don't be so sure pof. Look what a mess they made of Godzilla. That could have been a good movie but they made a mess of that

Aaaaah, but I'm not talking about the mythical 'they', I'm talking about the one true god, Peter Jackson!

News just in Mr Jackson is still interested in doing King Kong with his wife and has planned to make the re-make of the classic movie after all three ring films are done and dusted. I just hope he does this movie the justice that it deserves like he done to the Lord Of The Rings

Cool! I'll look forward to that immensely. I'm in no doubt about him doing it justice.
Anyone ever read Stainless Steel Rat by Harry Harrison? That would make a great movie. Would also love to see a movie of The Hobbit, if it was done by Peter Jackson. Always wanted to see movie adaptions of The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, but Disney bought the rights and made the first two books into the awful Black Cauldron.
And for a non sc-fi fantasy book, I would choose The Secret History by Donna Tartt

The Secret History is an amazing book, and would make a greta film in the right hands. The characters and the plot, and god, everything is brilliant. It was one of those books that i picked up after a recommendation but didn't expect it to be very good. it was excellent though, and a film would be well worth seeing.
