Well, last night I saw 'A THousand Acres', a film based on a book, which in turn is based on King Lear, except it is modern day and all the roles of goodie/baddie are reverced (i.e Lear bad/Regan good) and it focus more on the daughters than Lear.

I saw "The Bone Collector" with Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie on one of the Sky Movie channels last week and i really enjoyed that.

Best films this year?.. I haven't been to see many... Star Wars, Spiderman, Kate and Leopold (hey, it was my birthday and i like Hugh Jackman, which is just as well as the film could've been better)...

I still think the best one I've seen this year was 51st State - I roared with laughter at that

It may have just been the mood me & my friends were in at the cinema, but we all enjoyed ourselves more at that film than I ever have at the cinema.

I haven't seen that many films this year, and I suspect it hasn't been the best year for films either.

So i'd say my favourite was Star Wars, Episode II - OK, nothing will ever match the originals in my view, but EP2 really did bring back that Star Wars "feel" that Episode 1 was lacking badly. There were a few bits I didnt like, but i've already gone on about that in great lengths in a previous thread.
