you can probably find out more at IMDB .... i remember hearing that Joanie Laurer (Chyna of WWE fame) was going to be in it as a female terminator.
Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines
Well, It looks like it's set for release in the States for the July 4th weekend. Arnie's gotten all buffed up again but James Cameron although having written the story, is set NOT to direct!!!
Anyone know more or can point to the right direction?

Can't say that any of the above is so far inspiring me to go see this when it come out....
Uh? Weird. I'll still be going to see it though.

Well, according to IMDB, he has a co-writing credit for the characters, which means he probably had very little input at all.

Browsing around, I was looking at the stuff for True Lies 2, which Cameron is apparently directing. They have Arnie, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold for the cast. Anyone know if Eliza's signed up for it?
True Lies 2 has apparently been put on hold I can't for the life of me remember where I read it, it was on the internet somewhere though so that may give some clue as to the reliability
The quote Cameron gave that was quoted on that site went something along the lines of "how distasteful is a movie about a secret agent fighting terrorists in our own country?" or similar.
Then again, I don't know how OLD that quote was... I mean if the movies back on, then the IMDB is probably more accurate than some guy on some fan site somewhere type deal...

Well, IMDB relies on people contributing news. They're usually pretty accurate for things that have already been released, but suffer from all the problems with rumours and out of date news that anywhere else does. The last update was 6th July, so I suspect it's wrong..
Oh well.
Oh well.
Re: True Lies 2, Eliza said in her last big interview that she hadn't be contacted by anyone regarding the film up to the time of the the interview..
Re: Terminator 3, Ugh, sounds dodgy whichever way you put it..

Sorry, Can I be a real pain and ask what IMDB is? And secondly I'm sure somebody mentioned a trailor. where can I find the trailer?
IMDB is the "Internet Movie Data Base"
And the Trailer can be downloaded from HERE apparently, I've not tried it due to my poor dial up connection.

The female terminator is being played by the chick from Mortal Kombat (the TV series that is)
Not wholly inspiring I know but better than what was suggested before
http://us.imdb.com/Name?Loken,%20Kristanna
Hey what the hell it has Clare Danes in it = me seeing it regardless

Not that trailer; the cinema trailer.
The trailer they show in the cinema just has liquid metal drip down and form a block, which morphs into a 'T', then a '3' silhouette gets blasted out of it. All the while, the Terminator theme music plays.
It's simple, minimalist and deeply cool - for the music if nothing else.

I've seen neither, and like I said, hadn't bothered to download that one cos of my connection speed.
Ive just seen the first 'proper' trailer, it on first inspection, its pretty cool, tho not cameron cool.
As youd expect theres some stuff blowing up, and some people hitting each other. The female terminator looks ok, but doesnt seem to have the same sense of menace as the t1000. There a couple of corny shots, so over all id say this could go either way, but even if its good, it wont top T2

I'm distinctly unimpressed by the fact that they describe the TX as being designed for 'extreme combat' - or maybe that's X-treme Kombat (dude). It's like xXx came out and now it's all snowboards.
Okay; no snowboards in the trailer, but what is 'extreme' combat anyway?
Oh, and if it's a Terminator, isn't it an infiltration unit; rather than a combat munchkin? The extreme conbat units surely are the hunter-killers. Y'know? the tanks and hovercraft bristling with weapons.
Mostly looks like the same ol' same ol', cranked up to eleven with all the actual ideas dumped by the wayside to make room for more explosions.

Here's a link (right click, save as) to the large format(480) quicktime trailer, it's nearly 16 meg so beware!
I'm sorry, but after watching that trailer I was LMAO
The female terminator looks *totally* out of place, the lines are cheesy (Arnie re:Tx - "She'll be back" ), and Arnie looks like he'd seen better days too.
I think I'll be watching X2 instead this summer...
