I dont even think Robin Williams is ever gonna be in serious contention for the role thank god.

Its a tough one I can think of a few actors but they are to young IMO.

Ioan Gruffudd is one who has been suggested but too young for bond.

Brosnan is pushing 50 (and looks DAMN good for his age) but retired the PPK in favour of the P99 Cos it was older than he is

I think Alexis Denisof would be amazing as bond as long as he buffs (no pun intended) up a bit.

He's american but you can't tell, and he's handsome, he's dashing, (swoon)

Who was the guy that played Nash's college 'friend' in A Beautiful Mind? I've seen him in interviews and he's tall, dark, handsom, suave... he'd be perfect! Can't remember his name though

I was thinking Matt Le Blanc but he's maybe done too much comedy acting for him to be suited to the role and I'm not sure if he could get the accent. I think he has the physical look though.

Liam Neeson is far too good to lower himself to the role of Bond, mefinks.

Alex Denisof could probably get the look if he beefed up a bit, but i really don't think they'll cast an American in the role. Australian they could do, and probably Canadian, but i think there would be outcry from alot of 'proud' english people if they cast an American.

Myself, i couldn't give a monkeys as long as there's fast cars, faster women and a high body count

Stooby have you been talking to ELC??? Sean Connery will always be the best Bond (sorry had to just throw that in there) but I know ELC would probably start some sort of campaign to get Ewan McGregor to be the next Bond if she could (specially since she DESPISES Alexis .. well wesley really but if he got the role instead of Ewan you can bet she would) I reckon Ewan COULD make a possibly good Bond but wouldnt say no to Alexis

Bah. It was Timothy Dalton, as any fule know.

Wow, you're the first person I've met who liked Dalton. I though his two films were great, but no one else I've met seems to agree with me. I wouldn't say he was the best Bond, but he was certainly the most believeable spy.

This is getting like the nerds in 'Life Serial'..

Timothy Dalton was pretty good, I thought. Haven't seen either of the ones he did in years, but I did enjoy them.

We've met? Anyway, definitely agree he was the most believable (and the closest match to Fleming's descriptions) and that's pretty much why I liked his portrayal the most. I thought he got the best balance between fantasy and realism.

Robbie said that as a joke and thought it would be fun to do a vid as bond and then the british media being how it is decided to blow it up. Robbie has said quite cateagorically that in the extremely rare event of the part being offered to him he'd turn it down flat!
