Fantastic film, there were a few dodgy moments in the opening fight when it looked like playfighting, but then it settled down and got *very* graphic (Erm, was that someone's ear?), also a nice twistly plot, there were several places when I thought it would end, but it twisted away again.
Yep, Leonardo was surprisingly good in his role, with the accent holding up pretty well all the way through. Diaz's role was a bit thin, but as you said that's what comes from when they expand a role up from two lines to a couple of pages.
Day-Lewis was eeeeeevil, although I thought he couldn't quite make up his mind which accent he was doing at times, but maybe that was supposed to be the idea..
Some pretty weighty stuff in the film, well dealt with without getting a) blindly patriotic, or b) brain-numbingly nostalgic.
Good flick, go see
