Personally, i think Lucas is having us on. He's always saying he likes to see people buzzing around talking about Star Wars and creating theories about what might happen or what might not happen, so i think he either said it on purpose to create a buzz, or it was a slip up.
More Star Wars After All?
After swearing that he was only going to make 6 of the initially mentioned 9 Stwar Wars films, George Lucas said this:
"Essentially, Peter [Jackson] is making three three-hour movies from one book. And I'm making nine two-hour movies from one book".
This could mean one of many things:
1) it was a slip, he may have thought about doing them long long ago, but has frequently said he wants to do other things (and hes not getting any younger).
2) Hes not talking about 'proper' films, but the CGI Clone Wars thing could be considered one chaper in this story, so maybe he has two more of those planned.
3) maybe hes decided to do them after all, possibly with him stepping away from directing, as he did with Empire and ROTJ
What do you think he meant, and what would like to see in the 'third trilogy', and adaptions of existing books dont count!
