Well, I thought the first one was rubbish! I've only seen a few tv spots for this one... perhaps they're keeping it low key out of shame
Final Destination 2
Just saw a poster for this on the bus on my way back from town I'm gonna go see it tomorra or some point over the next 4 days if i can.
Has anyone seen this advertised and what are your thoughts on there being a sequel? due to the lack of advertising (im assuming there hasnt been any as i havent seen any) do you think it'll be pants or could it be one of those real good films that dont get any credit?
[EDIT] could someone please delete the other thread I dunno what happened there.

I've seen trailers for it the last couple of times I've been to the cinema.
Haven't seen the first one, but the trailers made it look rubbish.

The TV spots I've seen have tended to be of the 'scared audience being interviewed afterwards and saying how scary/cool the film is' type.
Not normally a good sign :s

I always thought that Final Destination should NEVER have a sequel because of the way it ended. It encoraged the audience to think about how things would continue for the group and anything our own imaginations could come up with would rival what the hollywood bods do.
If they have managed to get back the original cast then maybe it'll be okay, but if its along the lines of Cruel Intentions 2 with teh same plot only differnt people then i doubt i'll waste my time. /me goes to check out IMDB and see what they say...
EDIT - just checked IMDB and from the user comments i doubt i'll be wasting hard earned cash on this one - maybe i'll catch it on video in a year or so's time when i'm really bored

By a random IMDB peep
To sum things up, here are some helpful recommendations: * If you haven't seen the original, go see it first. * If you really, really liked the original, then see the sequel. * If you didn't like or only mildly enjoyed the original, then stay away from the sequel. * If you like gore flicks, see this one. It's a little more explicitly bloody than most mainstream American films.

Found another review on The Onion.
"Final Destination may have been the best film that could be made from its premise. Its sequel is likely the worst."
