He was supposed to be doing this about 4 years ago, but then Lord of the Rings came along. So I'm glad that it is still in the pipeline as I was quite looking forward to it.

Now this sounds interesting: Peter Jackson is remaking King Kong. With the same special effects crew he used for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. As a naff attempt to predict the likely level of upcoming hype, I quote a Guardian article on Flat Eric: "All of a sudden everyone got terribly excited".

While we're on the subject of King Kong, did anyone see the Graham Norton New York special with that guy who was actually called King Kong? For those who didn't, Graham looked him up on an online phone directory and called him into the studio and persuaded him to climb a cardboard model of the Empire State Building with a doll in his hand, before trying to do a King King roar before falling off! LMAO!
