Colour me sceptical.

Possibly my favourite game ever (roll on Half Life 2) but does that mean it will make a good movie? No, not really.

Starship troopers but than on earth....... uhmmm might be interesting. The game was good, hope the movie will be just as, but very doubtful it will be.

Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be another Resident Evil..

Could be a case of relative quality. By comparison to other game-based films (ie Street Fighter, easily the worst movie I have ever paid money to see), it wasn't too bad! Likewise Mortal Kombat I...

Oi! MK1 was good! (Even though the sequeal, Annihilation sucked...) Besides, it had Christopher Lambert in it as Raiden, for crying out loud!

I liked MK1 too, although mine was for an entirely different reason - Talisa Soto

Whoops. For the avoidance of doubt, I actually did like MK1 and agree that Annihilation sucked but not nearly as badly as Street Fighter and MK: Konquest!

Not convinced about Lambert as Raiden though - it really needed to be some seriously mean-looking oriental type, IMO!

I see what you mean there, (in regards to being faithful to the game) but Lambert was just funny!

But Raiden's supposed to be the Demigod of Thunder, with lightning crackling around him as he walks, awesome and fearsome, not comic relief!

Never guess Raiden was my fave character to play, would you? I still harbour ambitions of doing a Raiden costume for a con one day.

Nah, I preferred Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Or even better, Shang-Tsung, 'cos he kinda qualifies as everybody!
