After a few days, my initial objection to the direction and end of T3 has mellowed somewhat. I guess I'm just not used to twist endings in a story spanning 19 years (!) and I'm probably more of a sucker for a happy ending than I'd care to admit. It is a very effective, dark ending (still very obviously telegraphed though) but I suppose I just had an strong attachment to the "Future is not set" outlook from the first two films.

Saw this tonight and loved it.

There was way too many bad one-liners and too much slapstick-type humour. I agree with Wo that it was too 'light'. But despite that, I still thought it was good, and was (just about) worthy of bearing the Terminator name.

As for the ending, I loved it. So low-key. I wish John Connor hadn't said his bit about them "never having been able to change the future". Just because they didn't doesn't mean they couldn't, they could have just failed to.

Anyhoo, can't think of anything else to write just now....
