This will be a weekly thread about what films are released on the Friday for the coming week, and also any notable films that are on terrestrial TV in the next week. Hopefully youÂ’ll find it interesting and helpful in deciding what to see

Starring Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton, with Keanu Reeves along for the ride. Nicholson is an aging man who has a string of beautiful young girlfriends. When he has a heart attack at the house of his latest, he falls for the girls Mother, who is, to his horror, his own age.
The Dreamers (Rated: 18, Running Time: 116mins, Trailer: Quicktime, Various Sizes
Directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, this film is about a young American who begins a friendship with a brother and sister while studying in Paris in 1968. Set against the backdrop of the student riots of 1968.

Lighthearted film biography of the outrageous Jerry Lee Lewis, tracing his rise to superstardom and his fall from grace following his marriage to his 13-year-old cousin. Signed up by Elvis's producer, Lewis storms the charts with a raunchy version of 'Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On'. But his British tour is cancelled because of his child bride, and he turns to drink as his marriage threatens his career.

Carry On that tells of the high jinks on a men's surgical ward at Haven Hospital where no entendre is left undoubled. If you like the Carry On films, this is a must-see.
Beverly Hills Cop II

Starring: Eddie Murphy
Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills to reunite with his two friends and help them solve a case. Very funny stuff.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day

A supercomputer that sought to destroy mankind sends a virtually indestructible, shape-shifting cyborg back to our time to kill its enemy - the human resistance leader - in his youth. Aided by another cyborg, the boy and his mother try to alter the events that led to the computer's creation and the nuclear war which it triggered.

Exorcist III

Forget Exorcist II - this is the 'official' sequel to the notorious original, and it's a worthy successor. Fifteen years after Regan MacNeil spewed forth her pea-green soup, cop George C Scott is dragged into an ungodly maelstrom at the local psychiatric ward as a series of ritualistic murders rocks Washington.

A love-struck man tries to find the woman on whom he had a high-school crush. Very funny if you are into slapstick comedy.

Rick has been given a new identity by the FBI for helping convict a drug dealer. However, fifteen years later his former fiance recognises him, and he's forced to run.

Miss Congeniality

Starring: Sandra Bullock, Michael Caine, Benjamin Bratt
Farcical comedy about a female FBI agent who reluctantly goes undercover as a contestant on a beauty pageant in a bid to prevent a terrorist group from bombing the event. The hard-nosed cop, who prides herself on her toughness, must discard her trainers and feminise her behaviour if she is to avoid blowing her cover.
Striptease

Starring: Demi Moore, Burt Reynolds
Comedy thriller about a single mother who becomes a stripper in a club in an effort to raise money to regain custody of her child. She finds herself embroiled in the lives of the employees and patrons of the establishment, but one of her admirers, a sleazy conservative congressman, begins to proffer unwanted attentions. Based on Carl Hiaasen's novel.
