Cheaper by the Dozen (Rated: PG, Running Time: 98mins, Trailer: Windows Media Player
Steve Martin and Bonnie hunt star in this comedy. Tom and Kate Baker (Martin and Hunt) have 12 kids. ThatÂ’s right, twelve. The film follows the mishaps they encounter as they move to a new area and Kate leaves to promote her book, leaving Tom in charge.
Loony Toons: Back in Action (Rated: PG, Running Time: 90mins, Trailer: Quicktime, Various Sizes
This is probably a case of less said the better. Brendan Fraser joins an eclectic cast (Steve Martin, Joan Cusack, Bill Goldberg) in which, you guessed it, the Loony Toons once again rampage around the real world. Kids might enjoy it, I guess.
Dogville (Rated: 15, Running Time: 177mins, Trailer: Quicktime
Written and directed by Lars Von Trier, this French made film stars Nicole Kidman and James Caan. Chased by the mob, Grace (Nicole Kidman) is accepted into the town of Dogville and given protection. This is pretty much filmed theatre, all filmed in studio with a total minimum of props. Interesting way of filming, and definitely worth checking out.
Osama (Rated: 12a, Running Time: 82mins)
On limited release, this film is set in Afghanistan during the time the Taliban were in control. Marina Golbhari plays a 12 year old girl who is forced to masquerade as a boy called Osama in an effort to earn enough money to save her widowed Mother and elderly Grandmother from starvation.

Deservedly acclaimed film adaptation of Alan Bennett's play about the 18th century royal who lost his marbles. Humour, elegance, sumptuous design, sharp direction and spot-on acting from all those involved, notably from Nigel Hawthorne who plays the addled king.

The End of the Affair

Neil Jordan's BAFTA-winning film, taken from Graham Greene's novel, is set in wartime London and stars Stephen Rea as the husband of Julianne Moore, whom he suspects of having an affair. He confides in his friend, Ralph Fiennes, little realising he is talking to his wife's ex-lover in this compelling, character-driven movie.
