Mrs Focker

If you saw the Jonathan Ross show on Friday night youÂ’ll know this already, if not, you might be surprised.

Barbara Streisand has signed on to play Mrs Focker in the sequel to Meet the Parents, entitled Meet the Fockers. SheÂ’ll be playing Ben StillerÂ’s Mum, Dustin Hoffman will play his Dad, Mr Focker. Whereas the last film focussed on Ben Stiller getting to know the in-laws, this one will be about the two sets of parents meeting.

Could be very funny, especially with a great cast like Hoffman, De Niro, Streisand and Stiller.

One for SorrowÂ…

Â…Is the title of a story recently bought by Disney which was written by a man who works in a Supermarket for his boys. Disney paid $1million for the story, which IÂ’m sure the guy was very grateful for.

The story focuses on a robin who fights to save the land of Birddom from evil Magpies. If done right, this could be the sort of thing that turns into a classic Disney film. LetÂ’s hope they do it right.

Anicrazy

Dreamworks are going animation crazy, looking to take advantage of DisneyÂ’s troubles it seems. TheyÂ’ve announced several new animated features are in the works, including Master P: Kung Fu Panda about a kung-fu fighting panda who has to defend the jungle from snow leopards, Space Monkeys, set in the 1950s and about monkeys working in the NASA space program, and Chicken Run 2 a sequel to the original chicken running fiasco.

Crispy?

Star Wars: Episode III is gradually getting nearer (still over a year away though) and the pictures are starting to roll out. The Daily Mail published This Picture, which you shouldnÂ’t click on if you donÂ’t want to be spoiled.

I, Robot – I, Robot stars Will Smith as a cop in the future who has to investigate a murder involving a robot. It’s based on an Isaac Asimov story, but they appear to have turned it into a popcorn flick. This trailer is the first look at the robots.

Alien Vs Predator – This is an internet only trailer. Looks quite good, but I’m still not hopeful.

The Day After Tomorrow – A new Roland Emmerich disaster film, where the world is fighting against, well, the world. The effects look fantastic.

Hellboy – Full length trailer now for Hellboy, much more action orientated than the teaser. This film is going to rock.
