now where i didnt think too much of Dawn this film ROCKED and thank you SO much to PoF for thinking of me for this evening and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmsimon.

anyway, the storyline is kept generally the same find a place to hole up and wait them out but with the added fun of seeing familiar faces get well smashed in or torn apart LOVELY, there are quite a few lines you *could* connect to spaced but works just as well on their own [meaning you'll be enjoying it too much to be going "thats a spaced quote, and that, possibly that" that kinda thing] though saying that there are one or two deliberate obvious spaced remarks for us spaced-lovers.
the soundtrack is great [though the music in the pub after was brilliant huh PoF ] and the jokes are thick and fast.

i am SO going to see this again asap [or asama - money allows ] and i'm even considering sneaking a SotD night at the pub when the spoilsports go on holiday

i have all of those things in the pub and if they are stoooopid enough to leave me alone in charge of the pub well it's their damned fault and not a bad idea either or maybe we can have a zombie competition the best groaning, costume and eratic movements wins a calf to disembowl we'll paly the monster mash or sumfink

Just got to echo whats been said excellent film, ace soundtrack, And im going to the pub should there be a zombie infestation, And love the fact nobody notices it at first.

Saw it today and absolutely loved it.

No one else has mentioned the in-jokes though. The whole "We're coming to get you, Barbara" lifted from 'Night Of The Living Dead' and the brilliant 'Reservoir Dogs' scene "Don't point that gun at my mum!" with corkscrews and broken bottles instead of guns.

What I loved about this film was the fact that the comedy actually gave the sad/poignant bits that much more of an impact. I actually cared more about these characters, in a piss-take, than I did with those in the 'Dawn' re-make.

Oh, and final mention to David being pulled through the pub window and being eaten, with Shaun and co falling back with his legs.

Romero would be proud!

I saw this during the Easter holidays, and I have to say that I though it was pretty average.
Don't get me wrong, I did laugh out loud at the funny bits, but there just wasn't that many of them to warrent sitting throught the entire movie.

What was the point in all the serious emotinal scenes? (I'm specifically thinking about his stepdads big 'i've always loved you' speech before he turned into a zombie, and the big 'I love you mum' scene before he blows her up) Whenever Simon Pegg burst into tears (and he seemed to do it alot in this film) I just couldn't take him seriously.

I was looking forward to seeing 'Dawn' from the Office (as I think the actress is brilliant in the Office) but I was kinda dissapointed by her performance in this. We've seen the ditzy secretary role, and this ditzy actress role was just a bit too samey, and eventually pretty irritating.

Maybe it was me, but I just didn't find the 'Don't stop my now' jukebox scene very funny! I could see what they were trying to do, but it just didn't work for me. Maybe they could have come up with a better song!

This film has received rave reviews in the press, but I'm not sure why cos I would only recommend it to Spaced fans.
