For me it would be a good film but as long as it wasn't starring Tom Cruise as Stark but Nicholas Cage but that's just me as I work in comic shop

Billionaire Tony Stark, previously one of the world's most imaginative weapons defense technology creators, decides to retire from weapons manufacture. A powerful competitor attempts to kill Stark, and almost succeeds. To keep himself alive, Stark must build a modern-day suit of armour. He then begins to build more agile and powerful versions of the suit, and uses it to fight crime as the Invincible Iron Man!
Due to the incredibly early stages of development this is currently in, details are more scarce than my brain cells.
But you've got to admit, this has the potential to be a multi-million OTT uber-camp turkey. But on the other hand it could be huge. But even with Tom Cruise in the famous armour, as well as some of the writing talent from Smallville and the X-Men movies, will anyone besides hard-core Marvel addicts (like me...
) want to see it?

No way!
What a bad choice.
I mean, he was a slightly dubious choice for Lestat (& I still think he wasn't quite right), but as Stark he's a TERRIBLE choice!

I think Cruise could do the broken drunkard turned hero pretty well.

Not a Cruise fan, and agree with PoF the plot sounds very dodgy.

Don't worry; based on the (very little) of the comics I've read, it's better than the concept makes it sound... *crosses fingers for the film*
