We'll be watching it soon, and as soon as we do I'll be sure to post a review Really looking forward to seeing this film as I'm a fan of Will Smith, always good at bringing top class humour into action-type films

Spooners bike was even better *drool* - I'm a bike gal

I hafta say, I really liked this film.
Sonny was just too cute for words (I want one!!)
The ending with Sonny & the robots was a tad predictable (well, of course it was Sonny & not Spooner!), but other than that I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Erm, either Taz should edit her post or Milky will have to edit the thread title with 'Spoilers' in it. Otherwise we'll have another 'Spider-Man 2' situation and that one didn't end well.....

Thought the film was excellent

When you put aside the fact that it has nothing to do with Isaac Asimov, it is a very enjoyable science fiction action film. Will Smith is a great action star, great stuff from him.

A lot of people hate the robot designs, but i thought they were very cool.

Actually while they say it's only suggested by Isaac Asimov's book "I, Robot", Susan Calvin is one of his central characters and the 3 laws of robotics, and VIKI's interpretation of them are based on the stories in the book.

Am I the only one who has a real problem with the name of this film?

OK, clearly it's a harmless action flick and very pretty to watch, with some ideas taken from Isaac Asimov's 'I, Robot'. Which, in itself, I have no problem with. I'd probably not get round to seeing it in the cinema, but wouldn't object to an evening with mates, beer, snacks and the video/DVD hired. If it wasn't for the name.

This isn't I, Robot. Except for those commonalities already mentioned it bares no resemblance to I, Robot. It is a completely different story. So why not give it a clearly different name, with an 'inspired by Isaac Asimov's I, Robot' thrown in the credits? If it's good enough for Blade Runner and Total Recall, then surely it's good enough here? But then P K Dick didn't give his books/stories very snazzy (or short) titles...

I'm not saying this as a die hard Asimov fan (some of his stuff is pretty good, others average at best). Or even as a big fan of the book. But this is considered a classic of the genre and should be paid due respect. Can you imagine the outcry if Hollywood did to Pride and Prejudice what they've done to I, Robot? But this is just geeky sci-fi stuff, trash, doesn't deserve any respect, right?

Personally, I won't be seeing this film. At all.
