Very interesting happenings for fans of the original superman films, for those who dont know, the second film not only had much of the original footage replaced by another director at the studios request, but a much longer version only briefly seen on TV in america is finally surafcing.

Whats interesting is how, a none profit organisation has pieced together this version for DVD, and is providing it free of charge for fans who want a copy.

This is all very admirable, but is it really any different from file sharing and can we expect the studio to give them any respect at all?
