Not the best of movies I must admit. Seeing as I'm not a major comic fan anyway most of these "annoyances" didn't bother me too much. If you go to it with no expectations what so ever you will probably be mildly entertained at the end of it. It's really more like a fast food movie, it's okay but it's certainly not good, you'll feel entertained but it won't satisfy you for long.
Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer
I don't think a thread was ever made about this film was ever, which is kind of a shame, because if it had been, I might not have wasted £7 on it. Not wishing to spoil it for anyone, but actually, letting someone think it might come anywhere close to matching the classic tale of the FF's first encounter with the Surfer would probably be the real crime. Let's just say, no Alicia meeting the Surfer, no Watcher, no Ultimate Nullifier, and no even seeing Galactus. Of course, one can always have the argument about how closely a film should mirror a novel, or comic, or even a biography, but with this one, it's as if they ran out of money and slapped the ending together (not like that's ever happened before).
Can't wait for 'Fantastic Four: The Beaching Of The Submariner'.
P.S. didja know the Surfer gets his power from his board? Come on, now, you don't have to be a comic nerd to have a problem with that one...
