I know that I've been heartily insulting season eight, but I'm really not sure that this is any kind of alternative. Other than cashing in on the mystifying popularity of *twitch* Twilight, I don't see any reason to so quickly remake a flop film that spawned a franchise that isn't even dead and outstayed its welcome.
