Mine is fine. Are you signing in manually or is it on auto sign-in, 'coz mine did go through a spell when it wouldn't accept the password when it was automatically signing in?

Tried both. Service status is still having 'tempory' differences.

mine's working fine, i have no idea what the problem is tho (i'm not at all techy lol ) i can just about tell when it works and when it doesn't work hehehehe

Mine hasn't worked for weeks, I try to log in and I get the error message "There was a problem connecting you with MSN Messenger. Click troubleshoot for help with this problem".

Tried everything I can think of - the troubleshooter (which says nothing's wrong), upgrading to the latest version, using different log-ins, shutting down the firewall, using different programs to sign in (Xoogo, Trillian) - nothing does it.

I'm baffled.

Silly question, but it's not firewall/router related or anything is it? Because to affecting one program is understandable, but not a range of programs running on the same protocols.

Well, I don't honestly know. It's a PC with dial-up, so it's not across a network (although the PC itself is networked, the connection isn't). I tried with the firewall (Kerio) off, although I haven't tried with the WinXP built-in firewall off, now I come to think of it.

And the laptop, which has completely separate net access, worked just fine so it wasn't that MSN was actually down at the time.
