The long wait has ended, and Playstation 3 is finally here.

The launch seems to be a mixed bag really. Reports tend to say that there were lots and lots of units available (you'd hope so after a 5 month delay), but not many people turned up to get them. Now that can be a) because of pre-orders and people staying at home and b) because it's too expensive and people don't care. Seems to be a bit of both.

Meanwhile, lucky people in the nation's capital got a FREE 46" Bravia LCD TV from Sony when they bought they're system at the official launch. Apparently around 100 people turned up (which incidentally is a pathetic number), and 100 people got the LCDs, worth around £250,000 apparently. Lucky sods


Did any T21ers plonk down the £500 needed to buy a PS3, a game and a couple of accessories? Were any of you lucky enough to land a free LCD?

Edit: Apparently they were 46" Plasmas, not LCDs. That certainly makes sense bearing in mind the £2000+ price tag.
