Not actually heard any formal confirmation yet - but here is the e-mail Jo sent to the S14 mailing list on 17th May:-
Just to clarify...
The Paragon have just finished booking everyone we had booked in the Chelsea, Gloucester and Baileys. The Paragon had given us a room allocation of 200 which should have been enough. However, they didn't have as many triple rooms as the Chelsea - we'd sold 47 triples but the P only has 22. However, panic not, the Paragon have
kindly split those excess 15 triples down into doubles and singles and will be offering them at the price quoted for triples (i.e. you'll get two rooms AT NO EXTRA COST). We're currently working on getting this info out as soon as possible to those who will be affected.
This does mean that we blew the initial 200 room allocation though. The Paragon are more than happy to try and accommodate more bookings. They have an up to date list of how many additional rooms we need and their reservation department is currently working flat out to try and free up additional rooms.
We've asked for an additional 100 or so rooms - which should give us some spare capacity. Unfortunately we won't know until early next week whether these have been allocated to us. Imogen is in daily contact with the P and Nicola (at the P) is trying her very best.
We do have to say that any future bookings (and possibly some of the most recent) *might* have to be placed in an overflow hotel.
If you booked for the Chelsea, Gloucester or Baileys please don't panic because you are **definitely** in the P. The P should be sending out confirmations to all those they have booked in from those three original hotels. (I'll get Immie to confirm that).
If you have booked since we changed venue (i.e. within the last month) we are still hoping we can get you into the P. If you've only booked in the last week or so then you may be placed in an overflow hotel.
If you weren't in the crowd that initially booked for the Chelsea, Gloucester or Baileys then once we know the situation with the P and once we have sourced yet another overflow hotel, we will be either (a) e-mailing or (b) phoning you to confirm which hotel you are in.
Please, bear with us at the moment. The simple fact of the matter is that any enquiries as to where you are CAN'T be answered at the moment until we have a definite yea or nay from the Paragon regarding the extra rooms.
Everyone is working flat out to resolve this as soon as possible, and yes, we *are* conscious of just how close we are getting to the event! Cheers all
