Bitten - 2nd November 2002

Bitten is TANUKBC's annual club event, which this year is taking place at the Novotel Wolverhampton.

We generally have various activites during the main event day. The last two years have included a skit or an improv piece from some of the attendees. Below is a rough itinery of what goes on. It's basically another chance to meet fans of the shows and drink, dance and chat the night away.

Friday 1st November:

Arrive at the hotel, participate in the infamous "Booze Run" and kick back and relax at the Party in Nic's Room. A chance to meet the other attendees before the main day.

Saturday 2nd November:

Intro
Video Footage
A Question of Buffy
Break for Food etc
Video Footage
Fancy Dress Competition
Disco
Post-Bronze Party at Nic's (how many will be up until breakfast this year?)

Sunday 3rd November:

Relax in a local bar for hair of the dog until it's time to go home.

Tickets are Â£15 and include entry into the day events, the evening disco and the finger buffet.

Tickets are officially on sale. Just send your name, address, d.o.b. and posting name by email to new_uk_buffy@hotmail.com

There's some final tweaks to be made to the website before the online booking form can be used properly.

It's still under construction but the basics are there.

The hotel rooms are Â£55 per night per room, but room sharing usually happens. Three people sharing (and upwards) isn't uncommon.

I've also got costume problems. I can't think of anything original.

We've already had Glory, Spike, Drusilla, Victim No. 2. Nightcrawler, witches, Trinity (Matrix), Susan (Terry Prachett), Evil Willow, Anita Blake, and lots more I can't remember.

I know we already have a Sunday this year.

Right - i've used the online form to book a ticket but i don't know if i've done it right! So i'll bring my chq and confirm at Alton Towers.

Also happy coz i think i have my costume sorted

There's also the usual crowd from TANUKBC coming along so if you want to meet some new faces in a friendly but a little crazy environment then don't forget to book your ticket soon!

I'm still trying to think up costume ideas for the fancy dress... any suggestions?

Hi guys,

I've got some good and bad news regarding Bitten 2002:

Bad News

Unfortunately, due to an incredibly low turn-out I simply can not afford to run Bitten this year. I'm extremely disappointed about this as it will be the first year that Bitten has not run since the first event ever back in 1999, but without people signing up and paying for tickets, I don't have the funds to do it.

Naturally, I will refund the ticket money to those who have already paid.

Good News

However, for those members who did book for Bitten, I'm rewarding them by throwing a house party at my home in Hull during the Bitten weekend, which will include the Bitten quiz, the special footage and other little extras. Just drop me a line to let me know whether you will be turning up and when.
