Gah! Talk about adding insult to injury. Not only am I stuck out here in Singapore but there's new guests being added.
If you stumble across either Cathy Holroyd or Karen Gurney (they'll quite likely be fighting over posession of my P-90), tell them I said "hi"...

Sorry, I've been really slack (knackered) since I've been back - the traffic delays were enough to scare anyone as Friday it took 6 hours alone to get to RedWitch's house!!
We got to SG5 on Saturday morning about 9.30am and as it was our first experience of the Norbreck spent some time asking people which way the reg desk was (some tiny room up a long corridor!), just so happened the first person we bumped into was Gopher *waves* who apparently had turned up at 2am the night before and bravely slept in his car
We were presented not with the normal pretty clip badges but a kiddie type wrist band with our number written in marker pen - now there are a couple of pros to this I'm sure like you don't have to worry about losing it, and you don't have to worry about what material you are clipping it to and remembering it when you change outfits. BUT the one annoying thing was the only way you could take it off was by cutting it (which you couldn't do really or you'd be charged for a replacement) so we ended up sleeping in ours
Anyway, on reaching the hall there were 2 extra surprise guests of Douglas Arthurs and Jacqueline on stage with Peter Williams (who apparently had been teased that he looked like a younger Lenny Kravitz with his hair ) RedWitch took an instant likely to him and after watching one more talk we nipped off to get photo tickets. I wanted Chris Judge and RW the greedy girl wanted Chris Judge and Peter Williams (see wanted pics too )
It was good to get a feel of the Norbreck, the good things were the photos taking place on the balcony overlooking the hall, and with stargate convention go-ers generally being mature enough to queue nicely, we were able to still hear the talks from up above *and CJ is very cuddly*
The talks were very very good - special mention HAS to go to Gary Jones who was by far the funniest most wittiest guest ever. And when the videos are released of the talks I'll be buying them for him alone! There were the normal *ladies* (not us!) asking each guest whether they were wearing "boxers or briefs" to which Gary Jones said he was wearing "regulation blue airforce thong" to Garwin Sanford announcing he wears "erm nothing!" and then giving a full blown reason why
We stayed till about 10.30pm on Saturday night by which time the disco still hadn't started which was kinda disappointing but with RW living quite a few mile away and we were all extremely hungry by this point, we thought we'd drive by some of the illuminations to have a childhood moment (of course I'm sure its better when its not tipping it down with rain and forcegale winds!!!)
We returned briefly on Sunday allowing the littlest time to leave as we were hoping for our CJ photos to be back, but they were busting a gut between photo-taking and autos, he was a very busy man So hopefully they are in the post or I'll be very very unhappy
After dropping RW home about 3ish on Sunday we finally made it home in one piece at about 9pm Sunday night (a LOT later than we thought we would and hubby had to be up at 4am for work )
All in all a good weekend and at least hubby & I got our autographs this time round (I think the numbers were on 700 when we left Sunday for CJ & the others)
Well that's about it for now as I'm still recalling bits and pieces ... but I got kisses from Dougie

Well as I was there with Peg, if I described my experience of the weekend it'd seem remarkably similar to that post up ^there^, except for the travelling 6 hours to get to mine on Friday, and by 9pm Sunday I was soaking in a bubble bath (which was why you got the answering machine btw Peg).
All the guests were great, Gary Jones especially: proving he can say more than "Chevron 6, encoded" and occasionally walk around (but mainly sit) in an air force cardigan. The stories from the set from all the guests make me wonder how the hell Chris Judge can play Teal'c with a straight face with all that going on around him.
A couple more things: MMMMmmmmmmmmmChrisJudgePeterWilliamsDougArthursJRBourneWithLongHair
and most importantly ('cause otherwise I wouldn't have been there): MING! ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou for getting your ticket transferred, though we've never met, I'll love you forever.

Steady... you're welcome. As I was going to be in exile anyway, I'm just glad it didn't go to waste. Besides, you can thank Peg, it all came up during a discussion with her!

<much snippage>Thankyou for getting your ticket transferred,
"I bet you say that to all the boys". Whoops, sorry, wrong Meat Loaf song...
though we've never met, I'll love you forever
You didn't get kissed by Dougie though

Ming, I saw Cathy from a distance a couple of times but didn't get a chance to speak to her, sorry
Hey next time you see "Dougie" tell him Peg from Ottawa says hi. (Apparently another Peg ...)

I don't think the UK will be getting another Stargate convention for some time now
