Sean, just a general enquiry - but when is the deadline in case people need to change their hotel bookings?

As many of you may already have been aware, we were very close to selling out of our allocation of hotel rooms at the Thistle Hotel for BAD GIRLS & WILD BOYS. Well, as of Monday, we had sold out of all 200 rooms on the Friday and Saturday.
The good news for those of you who have bought tickets, or intended to buy tickets, but have yet to book a hotel room, is that the hotel has agreed to increase our allocation.
So if you haven't sent your hotel booking form in yet, and want a room, please get it sent out soon, as we now have the extra availability for you.
But with full page adverts in the latest issues of the official BUFFY magazine, plus STARLOG, we may nt have tickets or hotel rooms left for much longer!

As I've already posted on this list several times, the venue doesn't send out confirmations. They wanted to charge a higher room rate for this service.

Ah, as someone new to these boards and hasn't seen the earlier postings, now I understand... So it's basically turn up, and hope the form got to you ok in the first place then?

What with this, rising room rates, and the general hassle I noticed going on with the Radisson Edwardian at Nocturnal, it seems to me that the usual hotels seem to be trying to discourage conventions by stealth. Wondering if there's a worrying trend there...

Do what I do and ring the hotel a few weeks before to check your booking like im gonna do with my Defiant booking tommorow.

I received my hotel confirmation booking last week direct from the hotel.

Got my confirmation from the hotel too - all I need to do now is change my booking. I assume I have to go to the hotel direct to do this??

Got my confirmation on Saturday. Very glad about that as according to the Starfury Yahoo group, the main hotel is now full.

I thought Sean was looking at getting extra rooms? I know the Eclipse hotel is fully booked and people are now in one of the two overflows
Posted: 21:54 Apr 22 2002 Well I've decided it'll be easier to stay in the main hotel even though I could do with cutting back costs somewhere in the next few weeks.

according to the Starfury Yahoo group, the main hotel is now full.
If anyone is struggling to find a hotel at this late in the day try www.laterooms.com as they do some good deals if you don't mind having to use the hoppa bus to get too and from the heathrow park hotel.
Posted: 01:25 Apr 23 2002 Top of this thread is the original announcement that the hotel was full, which was some time before I sent my booking form, and then they announce they had an extra 50 rooms. So the extra rooms must have gone too.

Yup, we've been put in one of the overflows. Although we may end up cancelling that and trying to find somewhere a bit cheaper...
I know the Eclipse hotel is fully booked and people are now in one of the two overflows
