Thanks for that JtB. I can understand that it must be a nuisance to get calls asking stuff before the proper date.

I was going to barring is a little harsh for those that may not have internet access to see the warning. Although, I guess if you didn't have the internet, you wouldn't have the telephone number to start with.

Perhaps an FAQ would stop *most* people doing that.

from what i've seen of the egroups faq's dont really stop people from trying anyway or asking the same questions again and again.

After END OF DAYS, I made it clear that we would not be taking
bookings until 2nd June. It has been made clear on the website,
message board, e-group and at the convention itself, that the phone
was closed to all STARFURY enquieries until 2nd June. This was
because there was a lot to do after the convention, and I also wanted
a brief rest.

However, since END OF DAYS I have been innundated with phone calls.
It would be nice to think that these calls are made in ignorance, but
the majority start off with 'I know were not supposed to call until
2nd June, but...' and then I get some excuse of why they have to book
their tickets now.

Also, it's made clear not to call until 10am. The reason for this is
because I work on American LA time, and am often up until 2 or 3am
making calls to LA. So I don't really appreciate getting calls at
7:30am in the morning waking me up.

Yesterday was a bank holiday. I had around 30 calls regarding
conventions, starting at 7:30am in the morning, and carring on until
10:30pm at night.

At 10:30pm last night I had a long think about cancelling both
HYPERION and FUSION, because this situation has gotten out of control.

I'm sorry to have to take these measures, but I'm left with
absolutely no choice.

yep there's definitely some fools especially as they have BOTH the egroup AND board that they can ask questions on

some dont have constant access like some though so why doesnt he just not answer his phone and leave a message like "lines are closed FOOL!" or screen messages if it's a number thats not saved on his phone then dont answer it.
but yeah he did say that most start the sentence with "i know we're not supposed to call until..." i just hope they dont continue and pee him right off so he cancels them.

I'm sadly going to have to give this one a miss

I'm going to New York next year (and more than likely around that time) so I need all my money for that.

I know it will be blast though so hope all that go take pleanty of pics!

Just to let you all know that we have passed the 700 mark on ticket sales for HYPERION. With only 850 tickets available, I'd be very surprised if there are any left by Thursday afternoon if they continue to sell at the rate they are.

FUSION tickets are selling even faster! We're already past the half way mark on available tickets!

The phone hasn't stopped ringing, I'm stunned by the demand! Guess you all must have had a bit of fun at EoD!

Tickets for both events will be sent out mid-July.

Taking into account that HYPERION is over a year away, and there are
currently just 47 tickets left for this event, I'm looking at the
possobility of using some of those guests for an event north of the
border.
