yep i went.
Not bad...not brilliant.
if more guests that i actually wanted to see had gone then i would have had more to do and see. alas Alex Tydings had to cancel and she was my main draw. Jason and Rick from B5 were good as always but id seen them loads of times. Dwite Shultz (Murdock -A Team) was amusing to listen to his time on ateam and Next Gen but apart from that i was a little bored. maybe its because although they are trying to market this con as a scifi one its really still a trek con.
The parties were aweful. The DJ (loose term) was soo bad. There is a time and place for cheese at a con party but not all the time! and he wouldnt take requests either. Luckily on the sunday they got a new dj for the Kareoke and he was excellent. It wasnt always Kareoke so i actually danced more on the sunday than i did on both friday and saturday.
Had fun on the saturday with the fancy dress even though, unless youd watched or knew about the film Underworld most people hadnt a clue who i was dressed as (Selene from said film)But it didnt matter as enough did know and i had fun as her!
If they get more then 1 guest next year that i do want to see then i may consider going back as for organisation it was very well run, but otherwise im not a Trek fan.
