I certainly won't be. In fact I think it's a disgrace that they try and swindle the fans out of that kind of money.

For a minute there I thoguht ooh that looks good and was having second thoughts about the white room. But OMG talk about a rip off. £299? Will anyone actually pay that amount of money?
Nah, I don't think so. David may be a great guy but I'm not forking out that sort of money for two guests over two days, even if you do get an autograph and photograph with them.
Think I'll stick with Death On Vacation for £60

Thats disgaceful, and paying £300 to a company ive never even heard of with the amount of conventions that have gone down recently.
I've been known to have previously spent out not much less than £600 for TWO of us to attend a weekend convention but that ALWAYS includes travel, 3 nights "expensive-con" hotel & food and various other bits and bobs (and boy is that hard to scrap together!!!)
As much as it would be nice to see DB/JM at one place there is NO WAY I could afford, nor want to £600 JUST for 2 tickets that include basically a talk, photo and auto (and then have to find other money on top - I could get a holiday for that )
Whoever is organising this must think that UK fans are made of money. Perhaps because so many forked out for the last Jealous tickets they think the market is out there
Not that I'm attending White Room either, but *if* I had a couple of hundred spare, I'd rather get value for money there.

*Splutters*
If that included transport, accomodation, food and alcohol I might have been tempted...

HOW MUCH ??? They're avin' a bubble !!!!!!
I was reading a forum that was pointed out on a journal, and as far as I can make out it seems to be mainly people from the U.S or parts of Europe willing to fly over for this. Although it is hard to tell for sure as not everyone had a profile location showing.
Some people there seem to think that it's value for money as you are guaranteed an auto and photo But even at a separate signing (like Memorabilia/Collectormania) for example you wouldn't be charged more than £20 for a single auto. This is something that most other guests provide free of charge for an auto on one piece of supplied merchandise at weekend UK convention.
As for separate photographs, again at most conventions these have generally been around £10 a guest. These are generally offered as options, as not everyone wants a photo (especially if they have seen the guest before) but more recently are always signed by the guest too accounting for a signature anyway.
So based on 2 guests so far that accounts for roughly £60 of the £299 entrance ....
Edit- I was going to mention there were 3 more "guest gaps" on the website for this so that would account towards the cost but there is a mention of
I think most UK attendees probably prefer the more relaxed hotel based events as you can come and go as you please without being tied down to a hall all day.

Hopefully this won't push the more reasonable UK prices for fan run conventions up, although this will always depend on the guest stars that want to participate depending on their expenses for such a trip.
Due to time constraints an autograph cannot be guaranteed from other guests appearing at the event. There may be a nominal fee for autographs and photographs from additional guests.

This seems crazy for 2 reasons:
1. Surely lots of Angel fans will be at the White Room that weekend anyway (like myself)- scheduling another Angel event at the same time is madness.
2. The price is ridiculous. I read recently an article from DB saying that he was going to do a UK con as a "reward to the UK fans". £300 is a disgrace and hardly a reward!

Much as would like to meet DB again and meet JM for first time.......this is just WAY too expensive...and you still have travel, accomodation, food and spending money to scrape together
Gotto admit that it's a nice webite, but without meaning any disrespect for anyone who lives in the Bethnal Green area of London, this is NOT this kinda place i'd expect to hold an international convention of this scale. How exactly are all the attendees to get home safely after the Halloween Party. There are no hotels withing easy traveling distance of this venue, which kinda makes me wonder why they're holding it there???
£299 for a couple of guest talks and an autograph. I'll be surprised if this event sells many tickets, and even more surprised if anyone that does get a ticket and goes to the event feels they got value for money.

I probably would have gone to this even with the huge price, because Its David Boreanaz and James Marsters, who cares about eating for the next month
BUT I've already bought tickets for the white room, goddamnit.
I would want to go to both, why the hell would you schedule an Angel event that clashes with another Angel event, madness

Even with DB and JM, it ain't worth the huge price, hunny.
I would have said that £90-£100 would have been tops for a two day event with the above stars that has, so far, so few additional guests announced.

£299 is an unbelievable amount to charge and it would be interesting to find out how they can justify that!
I've been lucky enough to meet both boys but not at the standard conventions
I met James at a signing at my local comic shop in Britain and I met David at a fair in the US which had a charge of only $7.50 on the door

Update re this event:-
James Marsters will be doing an acoustic set on his own.
