I really enjoyed this London Expo as the free talks really made all the difference for me which meant I stayed far longer than I thought I would. Although to be honest, we didn't manage to get our Eliza and Shawn autographs until fairly late as we were just over ticket number 500 so it's not like we would have left early!
The last Expo I attended was early 2003 and layout was no different - you walk into what looks like the inside of an aircraft hanger with all the stands spread out all over the place. At least this time you walked straight in to the shiny tv and film cars from Knightrider (Kitt), Back to the Future, Starsky & Hutch, Dukes of Hazard (General Lee), and James Bond.
On this occassion the signing tables were evenly spread around the hall. I don't think there were any big queues happening but with only a handle of guests ( Eliza Dushku, Shawn Reeves and Amber Benson) operating a virtual queue system it was hard to tell as people mingled around the dealers tables or watched the talks.
The guest tables were seated as follows
Eliza Dushku (Buffy/Tru Calling) and Shawn Reeves (Tru Calling)
Amber Benson (Buffy)
Tom Braidwood, Bruce Harwood, Dean Haglund (The 3 Lonegunmen) and Gary Jones (SG1)
Colin Salmon (Resident Evil/James Bond)
Edward Furlong (T2), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Andrew Divoff (Wishmaster)
Jennifer Lien (Voyager), Carolyn Seymour (Star Trek) and Robert O'Reilly (Star Trek)
Maryam D'Arbo (JB Living Daylights), Michael Billington (JB Spy Who Loved Me), Caroline Munro (JB Spy Who Loved Me)
Colin Salmon was only doing Saturday. Today, there would have been the added bonus of Melissa George (Alias) and Claudia Christian (Babylon 5) but luckily I've met both the lovely ladies before.
The talks done by Ernie, Gary, Dean, Tom and Bruce that I saw were fantastic and the ticket entry for them was worth it all alone. I may have to consider fast track for next year
Hello to everyone I managed to bump into, and sorry to those I missed. Certainly I'll be looking forward to the next one a whole lot more.
