Hhhhmmmmmmmmmm i've booked the weekend before off work - doubt i'll be able to make this one

Update - I called the cinema. I can't reserve the tickets but I can buy them now.

There are two showings onthe Saturday afternoon, 2pm and 4.30pm roughly. I thought if we went for the 4.30pm one we could then swan round the corner to the diner and eat and drink till merry, OR if ew get the earlier one, thats more drinking time before the meal, what do you prefer?

Also, if I'm going to Leeds to buy these tickets (which I don't mind, I'd really like the money in advance if thats okay? Its £5.25 a ticket, so could you please stick a cheque in the post? I'll email everyone who has shown interest and include the details.

There is a travelinn hotel nearby that I have the prices for, and also about 2 mins walk from my house a nice independent hotel I'm not sure of the prices but I can call them tomorrow and find out in case you would prefer there. Alternatively crash at mine.

Hope you can all come, there will be balloons and cake and jelly and ice cream

It's a real pity that the birthday bash can't be shifted to the 25th May, then more of us would be able to attend.
We could have the party at Sanctuary during the day and then mosey on over to the cinema afterwards to see episode Two.
Any thoughts?

Everyone else: I got the tickets, for the 16.45 showing. I hear the film lasts about 2 and a half hours, so the diner is booked for 8pm to make sure the film doesn't run over. I hope this is okay!

It depends whether I can get back to the train station before the last train. If I could stay on that bit of floor space but I wouldnt want to impose so feel free to tell me to get lost and I wont take offence.

The details -

We are going to the "Showcase Cinemas" in Birstall just outside of Leeds. The showing is at 16.45 and I am planning on setting off from my house at 3.30pm.

Can you make sure you let me know how you are getting there:
1) get to it yourself and meet us there.
2) get a train/bus to Halifax and I can pick you up from there earlier in the day and we can sort out cars to get you to the cinema.

Please please let me know what you are doign so i can make sure we have enough cars, and so i can make sure someone is at the station to pick you up if you need a lift.

It's not far out of Leeds, but it's off a junction on the M62. I've had a look at the cinema website and there's no mention of public transport.

It seems silly getting a train out to Halifax just to go straight back to Leeds, so I suppose either you could get a taxi, or maybe someone with a car could do a run to pick anyone who needs a lift up from Leeds station?

I see your point, but there lies a problem of getting a car in and out of Leeds city centre on a Saturday afternoon.

If I take the car to sanctuary, I usually go at 9am ish and miss the traffic - it really is chaos.

I have no problem at all in picking people up from halifax, or huddersfield for that matter, (Hx and Hudds station are on different lines,) so if its easier/cheaper to get to one or the other then do that and I can easily pick you up - you just have to let me know when!
