The Prom - 27th July 2002

Fancy getting dressed up? Got a Tuxedo sitting gathering dust? Want to enjoy
what them there US'ers have been having for ages? Why not come to England's
new Hellmouth, and enjoy the Prom.

Time: 7pm - 11:45pm (last kickout at 12pm)

Includes: band, dj, buffet with punch

This is a cross board party, for all Bronzers, ex-Yukkers, BuffyBoarders,
T21ers, TANUKBC'ers, newsgroupers etc. No cliques, no "our posting board is
better than yours", no "your moderator is a facist dictator and is fat and
ugly". Nope, this is for ALL UK buffy fans, so get your high heels out,
strap on your bow tie, and come promming.

We have discovered a number of CHEAPER double room rates if you book online with a credit card.

Dangermouse managed to book a room for Â£26+VAT!

Nutty Bat Not bitter, just twisted

Yeehah! I found a dress that fits in the sales!!!! From Debenhams too, which was a bit of a surprise. It's an aquamarine/blue colour, so fingers crossed that no one's got the same one.

I also managed to track down a Bobby Brown make up counter in Rackhams department store, located very close to the train station, so have rung up and booked a session for 4pm. I've had make up done by them before for balls, and it's always been very good. If anyone else wants to go there, the telephone number is easily located on the web, if you search under Rackhams, etc. The session costs Â£10, refundable on items purchased on the day - I need a new lipstick too!

I've just booked my self in at the hair salon in Rackhams for 3:15pm and for make up at Clinque at 4pm

Not off the top of my head. But go to www.yell.com and search for Rackhams in Birmingham. its the only entry and the number is for the main switchboard

EDIT: Aha - i found the bit of paper i scribbled the number on, its 0121 236 3333

I am jealous on sooooooooooooo many levels

But I know you'll make my hair look funky, and any make-up tips would be fab for the "bit of powder, dab of eye shadow, mascara and sometimes lippy, and that's it girl"

There seem to be a couple of us having makeovers in the Corporation Street/Rackham's area. If anyone fancy's sharing a taxi with me to the hotel (probably about 4:45 to 5pm-ish), could you let me know by posting before Friday so we can arrange somewhere and some time to meet up? I don't mind waiting a bit longer - so long as I don't miss my limo ride!!!

flippin' eck Spike you kept that quiet!!

Yvonne - Kelly's length of hair is about as long as I have exerience with so I wouldn't like to say that I could definately do it. I'd imagine that the best look for you (depending on what your dress is like of course) would be a french pleat hiding most of your hair with some swanky stuff done with a few bits coming out of the top of it.
