Pre-Not-Nos Meet? July 13th
OK, while at the bowling meet a few of us were bemoaning not being able to go to Nos next month, due to unforeseen clashes due to the date move (due to Caritas, I presume). Then something very, very strange happened.
I had a good idea (allegedly).
Why not meet at the Lord High Admiral as usual, on Saturday the 13th, say from 1pm onwards? Have a few drinks, play some pool, and all the usual banter. But when it comes to the time when we would normally head off to Pages, we don't. We just continue doing what we were doing already.
This way, those of us who can't make the 6th still get a night out with each other, anyone who is going to Nos but has the following Saturday free as well can join in. And everyone's a winner.

Sounds like a plan. Just a thought, anyone know of any karaoke bars in the area that we might pop along to? (Twas a Milky idea, so don't blame me!)

I'll probably be there, as well as being at the real one, I don't have much of a life! Plus with cutting out Pages it shouldn't be too expensive.
I still say it should be the Anti-Nos though!

I wish I could come down for this but I'm at a ball from 10pm on the Friday night till 6am on the Saturday and won't be in a fit state to get to London by 1pm

I know that Pages does Karoke's on a Friday evening, but that's not much help and the drinks would be expensive.
You could try yell.co.uk to see if there's anything in the area or even in another part of London I guess.

Taz, I got back about 9ish, did the post as promised. then pretty much slept through Sunday (hence me being up at this time...)
Milky, I'll be working 'til 7am on Saturday morning, so you've no excuse. Besides, if you can't make 1pm, why not join us later, say at 5pm? C'mon, won't be the same, 'specially if we get a tube somewhere (say to Karaoke). - 'Follow da leader, leader, follow da leader!'
And I'll see if I can find any info on near(ish) Karaoke bars.

I'd have to get to Edinburgh or Newcastle, then either train or fly down to London, then get to the pub..would probably take about 10 hours when adding in the roughness/still drunk factor...if i win the lottery between now and then though i'll hire a helicopter and fly down

Milky, six hour journey? That means you can get six hours sleep! Way more than I'll get, which will be 3-4 hours. So all you have to do is go straight to the train station when your do is over, hope on a train, sleep 'til King's Cross, then start all over again! Sounds like the perfect weekend. So we can expect you to arrive about 2ish?
