Pre-Not-Nos Meet? July 13th

OK, while at the bowling meet a few of us were bemoaning not being able to go to Nos next month, due to unforeseen clashes due to the date move (due to Caritas, I presume). Then something very, very strange happened.

I had a good idea (allegedly).

Why not meet at the Lord High Admiral as usual, on Saturday the 13th, say from 1pm onwards? Have a few drinks, play some pool, and all the usual banter. But when it comes to the time when we would normally head off to Pages, we don't. We just continue doing what we were doing already.

This way, those of us who can't make the 6th still get a night out with each other, anyone who is going to Nos but has the following Saturday free as well can join in. And everyone's a winner.

I was ill last week, and I thought I was getting better but I've been feeling really awful again today, so I doubt that I'm going to feel up to coming down to London for a serious drinking session on Saturday

OK, two pieces of bad news there...

Flowers, when you say closed down are we talking boarded up or no sign of life? I maight see if I can get a number for it and try ringing to double check.

White Hart, sorry to hear you're crook. No chance at all you'll be better for Saturday? Well, look after yourself and I'm sure I'll see you at some future meet - Spike's or the Prom?

Also, as another possibility, I band I know are playing a gig in London. They should be on stage around 5pm, if anyone fancies some life music. I'll post up the details in a bit.

Gah! Just discovered this thread. Would have loved to have attended this but I shall be spending the weekend firing hundreds of little plastic pellets at friends and trying to avoid the same from them

Nope, we're talking boarded up and the sign wrenched off the front! Although there were some 'Help Wanted' signs in the window, so it might just be getting a makeover and then re-opening. But it didn't look like it'll be ready for Saturday.
