Manchester Meet (with added date-iness)

Manchester Meet

Well as one or two know, I've had major mood swings at my parents for saying all the meets are too far away!! So my solution is to have a meet in Mancehster so that all the Northerners that struggle to get to Nos etc can play host(ess).

After talking to Miss Kitty it looks like November would be the best month (September & October are pretty full and December is Christmas etc)

Also, I've found some info on the Fab Cafe which claims to be Cult TV themed so I was thinking of checking it out & then maybe using it as a meeting place?

So all we need to know is:
a) who's interested?
b) which weekend?
c) which people in Mancehster can offer beds etc?
d) any special requests on what to do?

I can personally offer 2, maybe 3 beds and a tent that sleeps another 2 to 3.

Edit: 23rd of November seems most likely right now, any problems with that? Just want to sort it so anyone who needs to can try and get the time off

I'll be up for this. I've got numerous people pestering me to go up to Manchester anyway. Plus, my first ever BuffyUK meet was in Manchester so it'll be like reminiscing or something!

The Fab Cafe is a very, very cool place! I spent quite a bit of time there in my student days! Karaoke is also a very cool idea, though I don't know the whereabouts of any karaoke places in Manchester. There's also Laserquest for those that way inclined, and a whole heap of other stuff besides! Oh, and lots of pubs with non-London prices!

So, yeah, if I can make it I'll be there!

I'd probably be up for this just remember that Bitten is happening in Birmingham on 2nd, 3rd and 4th November so please avoid planning it for that weekend as I know a number of people from this board were planning on coming along to that.

) but at the moment I'm down to work every weekend in November.

However, as usual, give us a date and I'll try and get someone to cover my shift. I would need some crash space, though.

Depending on dates, I'm a "yes."
My brother will be back in Salford by then so it would be fantastic if I could get him to come along. He's just spent a year in Japan with Uni (comes back in 2 weeks-ish) so it would do him good to meet some nice UK people again

deffo up for this and could even have a hand in organising things. As for accomodation there is a walkabout that do rooms for up to three poeple for under Â£40 a night i think, i can look into it if people are intersted

I could accomodate, although I have only one spare bed, but I do have a comfy settee, but then peeps would have to lug a bag round Manchester all night, unless they came to mine first and we went from there.

OK then I can accomodate as many people as you can fit in a house as long as you fetch sleeping bags

TNT I came, I saw, I just lost interest....

I'm probably wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too old

for all this young stuff that you'll all be up to, but what the heck, I'm thick and I'm northern!!!!!!!!!
