We're driving down from Scotland via Manchester with one space which as far as I know Sydney has claimed....better make sure of that though
Just some quick info about travelling - I'll mail out more detailed info in a couple weeks time.
By Car: The easiest way to get to the hotel from any direction is by getting onto the A38. This runs from Derby to Birmingham and is easily accessible from both the M6 and M1 motorways.
By Train: As far as I know Burton on Trent isn't on the main line, but there are regular direct services from Birmingham, Derby and Nottingham, so connecting shouldn't be a problem.
By Coach: There's a direct service to Burton from London Victoria.
By Air: If you're flying in then your best bet is East Midlands airport, which is only about 15 min drive from the hotel. Birmingham International is also within about 40 miles of the hotel.

Argh, after all the aggro of going my train to Blackpool, I think we'll be going by car this time. Does anyone remember roughly how long it takes to get there from Essex? Because i've forgotten
I live pretty near the hotel, about maybe 15 minutes away. I don't know how long it takes to get to Essex, but it usually takes me a couple of hours to get to London, for a concert or a Nos, so that's maybe a figure you can work on?
It took us about 3-4 hours to get near Alton Towers when we drove to Blackpool from South London.......... hence I'm not driving alone and going for another option - my car won't take the journey anyway
Jola - can make anytime for training it up there on the friday as i have the day off!
Anyone else wishes to train it up with us, feel free

Should anyone wish to accompany us up there by train - we are booked on the 2.25 from St Pancras (Virgin) - arrives at 4.41
and returning leaves at 12.41 arriving at 3.34
We can a have a ginormous sing-song on the train
