Mini Meet in Scotland - Bowling October 11th
Anyone up for a mini meet in delightful Jedburgh ??
Teresa is coming up to celebrate her birthday and we thought it would be a good excuse for a drunken night out.
At the moment flights to Edinburgh are around £60 return and the train is about £40 return. Getting from Edinburgh to Jedburgh is a simple bus trip however depending on numbers etc then we might be able to arrange lifts for everyone.
Plan is to meet at the Megabowl in Kinnaird Park for some bowling hi-jinks. There's also a group of my mates from Jedburgh coming up to play as well.
Any takers??

You do realise that Glasgow is an hour and half away on the other side of the country dont you??

EW and I have been thinking about it. All depends on Uni (if i get back in) and jobs and stuff. Seeing as i can hop a bus to Jedburgh from Edinburgh (or perhaps Dunfermline, will check on that one)

Glasgow is about an hour and a half away from Jedburgh...it's pretty easy to get to Jed from Glasgow..either drive down towards Carlisle from Glasgow and come along the A7 towards Hawick or Drive to Edinburgh and then down the A68 towards Newcastle.
There are buses from Edinburgh although I'm not sure if they've finished the bus station yet(they were rebuilding it last time I was in Edinburgh)..I can get times for buses if people are interested.
We were thinking of going bowling on the Friday night at Megabowl on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Not sure about Saturday afternoon yet but Saturday night will be a night out in the Borders..probably Galashiels as it;s the biggest place. Sunday activities have also not been decided on.
As I've already said there is loads of room at my place so anyone that wants to stay is welcome.
At the moment we have T & Y..anyone else just put a shout out below.

Yeah CJL...was thinking of taking T & Y bowling at the megabowl just off the bypass...the one in that shopping centre bit whose name I can't remember - Would be a good place to meet up and have a drink and a laugh adn some of my mates are talking of coming up as well.

Kinnaird park for the bowling on Friday....we'll arrange a time the week before. As for Jedburgh as I say anyone who wants to come is welcome..plenty room.

Okay just to clarify some details and see who is interested.
We're going bowling on Friday 11th @ Kinnaird Park..meeting at the Megabowl at 8pm.
There's a pub inside the megabowl and a Wimpy, with a McDonalds a little bit down the road.
Can't remember *exactly* how much bowling is but I think it's about £7.50 for 2 games +£1.00 for shoe hire.
I've got about 10 of my mates from Jedburgh coming up as well so it should be a laugh. Anyone thats interested post below and I'll email the final details

I'm up for this I asked for it off and I can have it as long as I find someone to cover my shift (and no i cant ask ELC
