i will join you for your birthday, where ever it is
March Birthday plans - cancelled
{EDIT - this seems to fall on the wrong weekend for most people, hopefully see some of you at Ascendant}
As I reach the ripe age of 30 in March next year and my birthday seems to be surrounded by conventiony type events, I wanted to put out feelers to see what people thought of the following:
There is an event called Chillerfest the weekend before my birthday, which is basically day tickets allowing access to the guest talks - but more importantly the Saturday 22nd March ticket allows for a party (fancy dress optional - but would be fantastic!)
Ticket cost is £15.00 in advance until the end of the year. (which I thought was quite reasonable for a very long day ) The tickets don't include autographs with the actors attending - any of that is extra cost.
Obviously I'm not going to suggest people buy tickets now (although if you like the sound of it anyway that's up to you), but I thought it would be nice to see how many people would like to go.
Location is Heathrow Radisson Hotel - which naturally means expensive. The website doesn't list room costs yet, but past experience says a double will be around £80.00. Although I've known there to be mass room sharing at these types of things and if the party goes on long enough, then kip won't be needed But, there maybe people who can advise on the nightbus service if you have places to stay in London anyway
Right then - as I haven't even booked my own tickets yet, is anyone going to be interested seriously in this or should I be thinking up other ideas

Sounds like a pretty cool idea. I'm definitely interested.
I am intersted, my bithday is on the 29th March anyhow, so really should do something. You admit your age thats cool, your brave, I just lie about mine a lot and go into denial.
Well, gotta make the effort for your birthday Peg! I need to go through my rota for next year to sort out when I need to tak hols and stuff, but in principle, yeah I'll be there.
Might be the excuse I've been looking for to buy myself a Super Soaker Monster X...

I was thinking Chillfest would be fun as hopefully the party would go on till late, but I'm just as happy to incorporate birthday goodness into JJ's Rocky Horror outing (its only 11 days after my birthday) cause who can beat wild nights dressed in basques
Plus there's nothing stopping any of us (well depends on how embarrassed you are dressing up!) going to a club afterwards in brummieland
So what do peeps prefer???

Well, obviously I'll be at Rocky Horror and have no worries about it being usurped. But I'm also not adverse to other celebrations as well.
Where ever you choose to celebrate honey, count me in.

With other meets and stuff coming up I didn't want to pressurise peeps.
There's so many things that people book in advance for and then don't go to and the fact that tickets are available on the door (unless this changes) also means I haven't bothered rushing out and buying any yet.
