Just one question, the prices of the rooms, are the prices of a single room the same price as a double, and are all the single rooms gone?
**T-Party Alert** Book your Hotel Rooms before 09.01.2003
Hey all I know you are all probably sitting in front of your computers with turkey in your tummies & a paper hat from a cracker on your head but...
As mentioned in the Info Email for the T-Party 2003 I will be cancelling all spare rooms which were 'held' soon. The following is an excerpt from the info email:
You must book your room by 9th January 2003. After this date, all unbooked rooms will be cancelled. You may still be able to book a room at the hotel but we cannot guarantee it and it will not be a part of our block booking.
So a 4 step plan is called for (1) Decide whether you will stay on Saturday night only or Friday & Saturday night, (2) Ring the hotel (0121 633 4820) , (3) Write down your booking reference number & (4) Email the booking reference number to me. (Denise@tangent21.com)
Remember: They will ask for a credit card number to hold the room - if you give them your card number this doesn't mean that you have to pay using that card, they will only use the number to charge the cost of the room if you don't turn up. If you don't have a credit card then they will hold your room until 4pm on the day of arrival. If you haven't checked in by then, they will try to sell the room to someone else.
Any questions?

Spike, prices are the same - as for what is left you will need to ask the hotel as they are dealing with the bookings this year not us
Slight delay - I missed the Duty Manager whenever I rang this weekend, so I won't be cancelling the un-used rooms until Monday afternoon now. So you have until Monday lunchtime to book your room from the reserved ones if you haven't already!
After this time there will be no point asking the hotel for 'a room from the T21 reserved ones please' as there won't be any - you can just ask if they have any rooms for the date/s you want to stay there.

At last, I'm getting organised - too late for the group booking though! So, I decided to shop around and discovered couldn't find a Travel Inn or The Wharf on the internet. I did, however, locate a Travel Lodge Birmingham at 230 Broad Street (telephone 0870 1911564), that charges the same amount per room (£52.95 per night, plus tax - grr!). So, that is where I'll be staying. Couln't find anywhere cheaper nearby, and didn't fancy roamining too far in a strange city on my own!
If this is a different hotel to the group booking, it might be helpful for anyone else looking for somewhere to stay. If not, I'll see you all there!

You can still book for the party hotel you know, you just have to ring up the hotel (0121 633 4820) and enquire,
it's just that there's no guarantee to a room like there was with the group booking as the general public can now book rooms in the hotel.
