I'm going to see if I can get to this again as I had loads of fun at the last one
Sanctuary - 25th January (New Venue)
Seeing as Dagenham Dave hasn't posted this yet from an e-mail from him.
"Dear All,
First of all may I wish you all a Happy New Year!!
2003 sees Sanctuary moving to it's new [Permanent] venue of BRB, 37 Call Lane, Leeds, LS1 7BT. We have managed to secure the venue between the hours of 12:30pm and 8pm, this is to accomodate your wishes to show more than one episode per month of certain shows. As a result we will be screening two new episodes of Buffy, Angel, Charmed and John Doe every month as well as other shows.
There will be the usual Quizzes and Raffles with lot's of prizes to be won.
Admission is still just £3.00
We will be taking over the upstairs area of BRB which consists of a separate room for video presentations and a separate bar area if you'd rather socialise.
The ground floor has a bar and also houses it's very own pizza restaurant - great food at very reasonable prices. All pizzas are wood fired and the most expensive 12" pizza is £7.25.
Of-course we have been down to BRB and tried out the food for ourselves and it is delicious!!!
I have just added a map and directions to the new venue to the Sanctuary website or you can email us at sanctuaryevents@btopenworld.com for more information.
The next meeting is Saturday 25th January 2003.
We need as big a turn out as we can possibly get so as to show BRB that we can get the punters in. So please come along to Sanctuary on the 25th or if you haven't been for a while give us another go.
Best Regards,
Dave

I'm hoping that after moving on the 22nd I might just be able to attend one of these , I doubt I'll make it to this one though but will try
Will be there, although the strain of having to watch some of the best shows around, eat pizza and probably have a pint or two might be too much for me.
The things I do...

Does anyone know if they do other things instead of pizza?
Or if theres other food places nearby? (am dodgy with wheat)
otherwise will have to come ready supplied (chronically organised as always)

BRB also do Hoi sin duck, chilli chicken, spinach & goat's cheese, lamb & spinach wraps. They also do 'Green Stuff'- Green salad, mixed salad, chicken salad, greek salad and tuna salad.
For desert they do Sundae's and banoffee. The last place we used got really funny with us about bringing our own food in...
There's a maccy-D's about 5 minutes down the road also or there's the corn exchange next door and I'm pretty sure there's a restaurant in there.
Hope this helps,
see you there.

There shouldn't be any problem if you have special dietary requirements... just be discreet just in case
Big thank you for your help.
With my M.E. I've to eat small meals every two hours (A right annoyance especially if going out)
(also get easily upset and panic attacks which overload my brain and shut down the body. So I've to organise everything and takes a lot to deal with new places etc. and really worry about little things like this)
Your last meeting was my first journey away from home on my own. I had such a good time and was worth all the 4 days of bad fatigue etc. afterwards
I really hope to manage again this time (if I can stop feeling so totally spaced before Saturday.)
(From either the sinus pain or the pills I'm taking for it)

It would be great to see you again SS, but don't overload yourself by forcing yourself to come. If you aren't feeling tip top then give this one a miss & then see about next month.
Looking forward to it already

SS - I generally have to carry my own snacks with me as well for incoming migraine attacks or if I get shakey. When I go out it always feels like I'm using so much energy that I have to watch myself (docs never pinpoint anything down with me yet though )
If you get out have a good time - sorry its too far for me to get to.
Dave, when is Feb's Sanctuary as I don't have it on the calendar yet

Sorry bout that, but was genuine mistake as got yours and Igsy's details mixed up, as most things do in this brain of mine.

It will be nice to see you there again even if you did mistake me for a doctor who fan
Had a good time Dave and Team cheers liked the longer opening time although to much drinking time (bad for me), like the new venue and the pizzas are excellent.
