You're welcome to join us all. As regards to booking online, you can always just walk into a train station and book some tickets. The times are above.
The T- Party Party Train
So, whos up for a train party?
Me, PictureOfFlowers and Littlewitch were wondering if anyone else is planning on going to Birmingham on the friday on a train from London, if so, do people wanna meet up and make a kind of 'on train' party?
Stick your name down if you wanna join the fun and let us knwo if you've booked tickets of anything.
We're thinking of going around lunch time from Euston.
If you've not booked we've got some train info if you want it
So, names and e-mail addies please

Does anyone know if you're assigned a specific seat when you book online? It'd make chatting awkward if we were all in different carriages!
I tend to ignore seat allocations unless there are a lot of people on the train. At this time of day, the train is unlikely to be full.

We could of course do a group booking, but this would require much greater planning and money collection.
so are we booking from any time now? (i dont mean any train time, i mean anytime to book the ticket )
I'll probably pop up to Euston this weekend & book myself a ticket.
Only way I'm gonna get a cheaper ticket I guess *shrug*.

I don't think you can get cheap tickets without specifying times. And since I'm not sure when I'm gonna be coming back I'll probably just get an open return on the day.
It's slightly cheaper in advance, then a bit more if you book seats on the way out, then on the way back too, etc.
Basically, if I can at least get it in advance it should be fairly cheap, with my railcard.
The London-Birmingham route is one of the cheaper routes anyway, so no big deal.

Ok. I'm always more than happy to go visit my evil twin brother, but if I'm heading into London on the Thursday night, who's up for meeting for a drink or three, then crashing at Flowers' place before heading to Euston on the Friday?
Assuming my twin doesn't mind me inviting y'all back to his place...

me, me, me, hmm, me, maybe me, oh and me
i need to meet Ben!
plus its half term so its ok
...did i mention me?

Why of course I don't mind. At least if I'm travelling in with you all then I can't turn up late and keep you all waiting...

I have no idea what state my flat will be in at that time though. There's gonna be more comings and goings of flatmates (don't worry, Ben will still be here ) and also of furniture. So it could be a mass camp out on the floor. But I'm sure we'll sort something out...
Right then.
I finish work at 7pm on Thursday so can get to most places in London for around 8 - 8:30. So I reckon the best bet would be to go somewhere near Flowers' or somewhere central that's easy to get back from if people prefer. But not being a Londoner I think someone else should decide on where in particular...
Also, two requests...
1) That upon arrival at Euston, and having no doubt bought some booze for the journey, that my twin brother does not disappear with my booze and everyone else and catch a different train...
2) Should I pass out at my Evil Twin's abode on Thursday night, that no one starts throwing fag butts at me...

Well I can't guarantee it , but I'll certainly do my best.

As for somewhere to go drinking, if we're gonna stay in Central London I'd like to put in a vote for a place called The Intrepid Fox on Wardour street. I think it should appeal to those who've expressed an interest. Or there's the Marlborough Head or Ben Crouch's Tavern which are both pretty cool. Near me there's a couple of pubs and bars just across the road which could be pretty handy. I'm pretty easy basically...
1: i bagsy the chair/sofa in the far corner of alexs flat!
2: i vote alex meets me at tower hill
3: dont leave without me in the morning!
ok, im done

Ah, the secret's out! There goes all your mystique, mate.

The Intrepid Fox sounds cool, unless anyone has any objections. Tube Station/directions?
I'll probably crash over at your's Alex - if you don't mind? I'll bring alkyhol, just so you don't think I'm a complete bludger
If I'm gonna be out with you guys then it'll probably be easier to go straight from there rather than go home & then meet up again at Euston.
That said, I don't care where I crash, as long as I have some kinda pillow & a blanket
I've been checking train prices & it's £12.50(with YP railcard) for a single bought on the day, so I'd advise everyone to get their tickets in advance!
I'm gonna buy 2 singles then it'll only cost me £10.60 (cheaper than a Saver Return). Now how on earth does that work?
(just because it's snowing here )

OK, so who's bought their tickets already, and who's buying what type of tickets, and how much are they, and who's meeting who where, and who's the president of Azerbaijan.... and stuff... Sorry, I just haven't got a clue what's going any more. But that's not really anything new.
As for the Intrepid Fox, the closest tube station is probably Piccadilly Circus. So go there and then look for Shaftesbury Avenue. It's a biggish street with lots of theatres on and I think there's a Burger King and a Boots near it. Anyhoo, go up Shaftesbury Avenue until you get to Wardour Street on the left (it's only a few minutes walk). So then turn left into Wardour street and keep walking for a minute or two and the Intrepid Fox is on the left.
Or alternatively, it seems that I'll be meeting Katie at Tower Hill, so I could just meet you all somewhere at some time...
And Taz, of course you're welcome to stay at mine.
Oooh, just spotted the new smilie! Awwwww... how sweet.
