T-Party Music with a twist
Ok, does anyone remember back in August when Milky and I had a bet on Yahoo Pool and he lost... and what a sore loser he was too 
Well, the forfeit was going to be Milky performing Britney's "One More Time" (or whatever you call it) at Kareoke on the Alton Towers weekend, but we never got to go. To cut a short story shorter he's gonna do it on the Friday night before the Tparty if we find a Kareoke place
The outfit is all picked, he's gonna be in purple and sparkles but the question remains - what song will he sing?
If you can think of 'owt better than Britney, post it below and we'll take a vote

Okay, we're having issues finding a pub near the hotel that does Kareoke on a Friday night

Found two bars that are vaguely close to where we are... They are in the B5 area but according to multimap are only 0.4 miles away from the Train station so theoretically they aren't too far away.
The two bars are...
The Wellington on Bristol Street and Telstar on Sherlock Street and both of them are gay bars
I'll try and so some calling around later to see excatly how far away from teh hotel they are, how receptive they are likely to be to Milky dragging it up and if there's a dress code (I have it on fairly reliable info that most of the bars near the hotel are pretty strict on jeans and trainers)

Right... We have a winner...
The Wellington at 72 Bristol Street.
Its about three minutes walk to the train station.
There's no dress code..."anything goes" apparently.
And the guy loves the idea of Milky dragging it up to sing Britney so we can't really let him down now can we

I did a google search for The Wellington. It really is very gay I also found this great venue search engine at http://www.karaokeinfo.co.uk/venues/index.asp 
What time are we going to do this? The bar opens at 7pm... so meet at the hotel at 7.30 and troop down there for about 8pm? Or is there a pub close to the hotel where we can get Milky lagered up first

Posted: 08:47 Feb 20 2003 Thats what i found it on... according to that site there are three karaoke places in Birmigham that do it on a friday night and the only one not defined as a 'gay bar' was miles out of the town centre. I'm sure anyone who wants to see Milky perform Britney isn't going to mind going somewhere "very" gay

Okay..how gay is very gay..are we talking Blue Oyster Bar from Police Academy here cos if we are then I'm sorta scared 
Looking forward to belting out some Britney..I've been practising and I've even made a CD with intro music on it for me that I'm going to ask the DJ to play
I was thinking that we should maybe go for dinner about 7/7.30(as a lot of us are doing lunch around 3 I think) and then heading to the pubs after that...we could head straight there but I'm *so* gonna need at least 6 pints before I do this

I don't have problems with a late dinner, but doing the friday-dinner on saturday is pushing the limits
