Just called the hotel and they said that they are two minutes walk from the Train Station anyway, its literally round the back of the hotel, so we might not need lifts after all

If it's the same hotel as last time, I remember driving with T (mmm...marmite!) to pick up peeps from the station & it took about 10 minutes to drive there.

It was my idea to squirt peeps with water pistols as we pulled up and some bloody idiot taxing driver reversed into my car... "Its a big ****ing red car!!!

Most of you know I get road ragey and angry while driving, well that's nothing compared to when someone hits my beloved motor!
As for the water fights, I'll be bowing out unless its really really warm, everyone is wearing thin white Tshirts and Vin Deisel joins us at the last minute

Dunno if its the same hotel as last time, but the one I called is the Express By Holiday Inn in Derby as per the original post... Maybe Tam or Rich could confirm that its the right one?

Did anyone see Alton Towers winning the award for the UK's Worst day out last night?
Thing is, the family that went there complained that they only got on one (major) ride all day and were queuing for hours. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but don't AT do a fast pass system for the major rides? If you make sure you get to the best rides early and fast track them, then the rest of the day's your own.
Don't you just hate whingers?
Although they did have a point about the prices. If you pay the full amount, it's over £70 for a family ticket - about a tenner more than Chessington and Thorpe Park.
And Y- road rage? you? Noooooooo... say it aint so

I even think they have a special system for families so that if one of the parents has to look after the smaller kids while the rest of the family goes on a ride then they get to go straight to the front of the queue when everyone else gets off so that they don't have to queue again to have a go.
