Thanks to Tam we have got some info on hotels
Option A:
The Sandpiper Hotel.
Advantages- 60sec walk from PLeasure Beach and Sandcastle (Amusment parks)
-Makes a mean English Brekkie
-Close to the Train Station
-No taxi fair to Pleasure Beach
-IN centreish of town
-23 rooms - more next door if needed
-Could have the hotel to ourselves (less worry of being noisey)
- Very Clean
-Place to socialise
-Parking for 6 or 7 cars (There is a public car park over the road if need be)
Disadvantages
-The rooms are small
-About 3 rooms AREN'T ensuite but we all know each other so well i don't think this is much of a problem
It's a family run hotel with a nice cosy atmosphere
-COST: 16.50 per person per night (if you stay 2nights) For one night it is £18 p/person per night
OR:
Option B:
Travel INN
Advantages
-YOu all know what it's like
-Parking
Disadvantages
-It's far away from the PLeasure Beach
-It's more expensive
-Brekkie is expensive and not included in the price
-We won't fill out the whole place
-No place to socialise
COST: £42.95 per room per night - Exc.Brekkie
Personally, i would prefer to book with Option A because it's family run and it would be easier to book. Also, it's cheaper and it seems to have more going for it.
Post for the Travel Inn if you really only have a Strong disagreement for the other place. If you don't mind then it doesn't really matter
Dates: We're thinking the couple of weeks after easter(April 6th or 13th) (it'll be quieter but things'll be open and also i'll be on holiday!)

I prefer option A, but me and Mum will go with the majority if they want option B

I can only come on the 13th, Mum has an important thing on the 5th, and thats when we will have to travel up

Having thought on, I wouldn't be able to make the 13th either, but the 6th could be good for me

And be surrounded my hundreds of screaming children and parents that swear loudly at them? Spend hours ina queue for a ride that lasts 27 seconds? I'd rather not! I'd much prefer to go when its quieter. Thats why Alton Towers is so well placed in Sept/Oct time. Al the rush is over.

FG - still not entirely sure if I can go to this yet but if I do, I'm certainly voting for the Sandpiper.
Just so everyone knows, I the family that run this place, and they are great people.. and the breakfast is scrummy!

Right, just got off the phone from FG, she couldn't get online, so she told me to tell you this :
Due to problems, especially with FG's health and Easter holidays, we though that the Saturday 20th April might be a better date, since it can be more balanced *hopefully* on who can go
So, what do you think?

The 20th is much better for me. The 13th is busy with Nos & the School Disco and the week before that is a bit close to something else I'm doing.

anyone is welcome, but there is a limited number of rooms, but if we do have more people wanting to come than rooms available, there is the hotel next-door which the Sandpiper know well
