I have the 2 weeks off around End of Days, so that would be a cool way to end my 'summer holidays' lol

CInema/Birthday meet
Since May is both VelvetGlove's and my birthday, 
we are thinking of meeting up in Leeds to see a film (possibly X-Men2) and maybe get some food/drinks afterwards! 
Something similar to Star Wars 2 last year if you were there. We booked the tickets in advance to make sure we all got in.
If you fancy it, the date we are thinking of is Sat 10th May. I have limited floor space but a nearby travelinn type hotel so post up if you're interested.

I'm not going to make that date sorry 
not going anywhere else, but I will be brassic for any further travelling after End of Days that week.
But I'm convinced there was similar talk "somewhere" of trying to do this on the Thursday of End of Days when the film supposedly opens - but that would have depended on what times people were arriving.

Doubt very much I can make this one either - what with all the conventions and events that is a rare weekend for me to be at home - babysitting favours would've been worn out by then too

No worries if you can't make it I know it's very soon after EoD! I can't make the Thursday showing as I'll be working all that week.
As for which cinema - last time we went to the Showcase at Birstall and ate at the American Diner place afterwards (yummy cocktails) basically its right beside the M62. If you have any other suggestions let me know.

I can't make it to EOD! But I'd be up for a cinema meet, I think the Emma, Justin and Karen will want to go also. I'll ask them and get back to you.

If possible would I be able stay at yours? If not no biggy I can stay at that hotel again as it was quite nice & also cheap

Erm... what sort of time were you thinking of staying out until? If it's going to be late (say 11pm or later) would it be possible for me to sleep on your floor/in a cupboard somewhere please? If not, it's ok I'll just have to try and get my dad to pick me up at about 11:30 ish and sleep at home

vampire_dust I'm sure we can sort something out if we go beyond 11.30 although if we're not right in the centre of Leeds its unlikely we'll go clubbing or anything. There used to be a club there but they turned it into a sports center thing. *shrug*
