Is Thorpe Park really open that late?
Has possibilities for not having to get up early...

Chessington does have the photo thing that people seemed to like & the Runaway Train which I know the girlies liked!

So far the votes (where a preference was posted) have Chessington in the lead by one.
Could we have some definate Yay's or Nay's for one or the other.

I've already done TP this year, so I'll vote Chessington.

My vote is for Thorpe Park 'cos it's easier to get to for me but I will do Chessington if that's what wins the vote

As a little bit of aside info (based on my experience):

Chessington is VERY easy to get to by train from London
Thorpe Park requires the use of a car

Coming By Train:
Regular South West trains run from Waterloo direct to Staines. The 950 shuttle link operates from Staines station to the Park running every half hour. Trains also run regularly from Reading and Guildford to Staines Station.

And it's only about £1.50 for a return fare from Staines

But is it cheaper to hafta get a train to Staines then a whatever to the park?

It's only a one day travelcard fare to Chessington.

I'm sure I'll be train-ing it, so a definate need to know thang.

G - I did the dare - everyone kept staring at me on the train after I said that. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about - read PoF's quote - I had to say that myself on a train for a dare. I got stared at for the rest of the train journey!!!!!

I've not been to Thorpe Park but I had such fun at Chessington that I'd be happy with either.

Depending on money,I might come to this, and maybe drag Mark along too.

Im happy for either park as they are both within easy driving distance.

if we can convince t21 residence of staines that its a good idea people could crash there the night before
i very much like the idea of not having to get up early the possibility of staying very late and the spooky mazes (i'll tie a bottle of vodka to a stick and entice T to follow ) im so sold for thorpe park now i might just be a sad sod and go on my own.
(im sure all themeparks do that photo opportunity thing hell even the trocadero does it)

Chessington was good last year and you have the chance to once again experience Vampire, Samurai, Rameses Revenge and of course the girls fave ride(well Scary Emily's at least ) The Runaway Train.

I've not looked at my diary yet - cos I can't find it but I think the 2nd Nov is ok with me too (even if it may be cold).

Not fussed for Chessington or Thorpe Park

I might be able to make this one. Depends if I my works move is that weekend or the one before. Murphys law indicates......

All in the difference it would appear is only a few quid wether you go to TP [Beavis](I need TP for my bunghole!)[/Beavis] or Chessington. You'll spend that on food and drink alone!

Travelwise, I dont have a prob with people crashing at mine if they need to, bare in mind it will be couch and floor space only...that and an inflatable mattress (Self inflating no less!!!)

Personally, if you ask me TP is the goer. For those that drive down there is a very small amount of parking space at mine if you need to crash.

Breakdown of the prices would be that TP is more expensive to get in by £1, but the opening times change

TP - Midday till 11pm
Chessington - 10 till 7.30

The bus from Staines run every 30 minutes and costs £2 return it would seem.

If we can get some definite names up I'll phone and see what the possibility of a group discount is like...so all post after this to confirm you can go

Sorry but you aren't gonna get a defo yay or nay from me for a few weeks...

I'll do my damndest but it depends on if I hafta work the Sunday or not. Even if I'm not in the office, I'll be floating about with a notepad and mobile phone...
