T-party 2004 discussion
OK, I'm starting a new thread cos the main one's just for registering interest, right? If not then my bad.
Just wanted to check that the party hotel ISN'T the one we were all in this year with that nasty janitor man checking all the rooms only had 2 people in them. Kinda makes it difficult to have a room party.
Please tell me this is not the same hotel!
On a plus note - REFLEX nightclub anyone?
Twas an excellent way to boogie on through the night once the main party had finished.

Hmmm.. i'm confused
this year, the hotel is £50 odd per room per night right. and it's the same hotel as last year yeah? why have i then got the distinct memory that last year it was gonna cos me over £100 for two nihts sharing with maff. that would mean it was per person per night. was it that last year, or am i wrong, or have we been told wrong this year?

I'm not sure where the confusion has set in - but a travel inn always charges per room not per person.
Roughly that means that 2 nights for a couple would be around £100
If you were a single person bunking in (if people sleep nowadays!) then you'd be paying half that if you had a room buddy (ie about £50 for 2 nights)

You stayed in a different hotel the saturday night too, they might have charged per person per room.
The travel inn is £52.95 per room per night as specified in the email

I kinda agree with Spike. I love T parties as I get to meet up with some people I only see once a year, and the group discussions that have been held in hotel rooms in the past have been a major plus point of some weekends.
It'd be nice to know that if, say 10 people wanna get together and have a good old blether after the main party, the hotel isn't gonna be arsey with us - especially if we can prove we all have rooms.
Y'know I hate it when club meeting (and conventions) offer a good whack of buisness to hotels, and then we get treated like poo in return.

Is there not a bar area or something in the hotel? (didn't go last year so I don't know but I remember 2002 a majority of people stayed around after the actual event)

Only in the ajoining 'restaurant' I think. The actual hotel foyer was quiet small from what I remember.

Sounds right to me. Plus, most hotels will not let you drink your own alcohol in bar areas, even after (in fact, especially after) they've stopped serving.

Just an idea but for something to do during the thing itself, if someone who has one would be willing to donate a playstation and dancemat I'm sure some sort of dance competition could be set up (seeing as how whenever one of them machines crops up at a bowling alley meet or whatever it always gets abused )

The dancemat idea sounds cool, but if I remember rightly didn't people moan about playing games last time 'cos all they wanted was music. Could be a bit boring for those not participating.....
