The Prom

Seeing as everyone keeps forgetting the date of the Prom I thought I'd better get a thread up here before the date gets booked up by everyone.

So...

Fancy getting dressed up? Got a Tuxedo sitting gathering dust or a cute little cocktail dress? Want to enjoy what them there US'ers have been having for ages? Why not come to England's new Hellmouth, and enjoy The Prom

Proposed date: 27th July 2002.
Proposed Location: Birmingham.

This is a cross board party, for all Bronzers, BuffyBoarders, T21ers, ANUKBC'ers, newsgroupers etc. No cliques, no "our posting board is better than yours", no "your moderator is a facist dictator and is fat and ugly". Nope, this is for ALL UK Buffy (and Angel) fans, so get your high heels out, strap on your bow tie, and come promming.

Would like to take this oppertunity to state that i am sooooooooo not a target. Me loves steps and was at their last ever concert 5 days before they split!

Woah! Indeed. We are like ships wot passed in the night - or summit like that. The prom will provide a perfect opportunity to recreate the video for Tradedy what with Tuxes and Ballgowns and all!!

I really have to go to this. My Ballgown's been gathering dust since 2000 and i feel it needs to come out again.

Has anything been confirmed yet? (Sorry being too lazy / busy at work to read teh whole thread to find this out!)

The venue for The Prom has now been decided upon. We will be dancing the night away at Castle Vale School, which has a typical school hall with stage and is perfect for the Prom theme.

Tickets will be Â£30 each.

This includes the cost of the venue, a band, and a dj. There will also be a buffet with punch and a souvenir photo for each guest.

There is a Holiday Inn 20 mins walk away so taxis to the Prom should be cheap. I'll be speaking to some local taxi companies to see if I can organise a minibus or two to decrease travel costs.

Double/Twin Rooms are Â£45 a night. Triples are available, but I will to confirm the price shortly.
